When it comes to a no non-sense protein powder, one that has extras such as glutamine and BCAA's, and at the same time has a minimal amount of fat and carbs...this is the protein to get. This isn't a meal replacement or should be used as one, if that's what your looking for try muscle milk which is high in protein but also other calories as well.This is your post-workout protein shake plain and simple. This is the best Whey Protein!
I've used Optimum Nutrition's Whey Protein for many years and always loved it. Occasionally I have tried other brands and always come back. The price is right and the flavors are usually great. Double Rich Chocolate tastes alright. I'm not going to lie, it doesn't have the best taste. It used to taste quite a bit better but over the years the flavor has changed. Not as good as it used to be but the ingredient list has been improved. With 24 grams of protein and 5 BCAA's, yet only 3 carbs, you can't go wrong!The powder mixes easily in any shaker bottle. I usually mix it with water, but it tastes better if you mix it with milk and/or some fruit. Goes down easy with a few ice cubes.Again! This is the best protein on the market for the price! good flavor and texture, very high protein with little else
This and MetRX's protein powders are my favorites, though when Amazon has this brand in stock it's less expensive per serving than MetRX. The MetRX foams up a bit more and seems a little thicker (not negatives, in my opinion); the TwinLab comes out very smooth when made in a blender. Both brands taste very good, at least when made with fat free or 1% milk (or at the very least half milk and half water).I won't detail the nutritional info because it's available in the product description here, but like MetRX I like that this protein powder gets almost all of its calories from protein. Some protein powders have a fair amount of fat and some have A LOT of carbohydrates. Those formulas may be good for competition level bodybuilders who need to have an extremely high caloric intake because they are working out so hard, but I don't really want a protein shake that gives me a meal's worth of carbs and fat in addition to the protein. GREAT PRODUCT & SELLER!
I'm just a normal person. Not a jock or body builder. Not even extremely active because of physical disabilities. However I swear by this product. I drink it for breakfast and mid-afternoon snack just about every day. The taste is wonderful with skim milk or water - your choice. I even take it with me when I travel overseas to minister. It's a great meal replacement filled with good protein; great-tasting; quick to fix; and keeps me feeling satisfied. And at this price it cannot be beat. I'm a personal trainer, nutritionist, and former bodybuilder. The pure unflavored whey protein isolate is definitely the best protein powder you can find. Great Protein Source for Weight Loss Surgery Patients or Lactose Intolerant
I was a bit skeptical about using this to supplement my protein needs. It mixes easily in a blender, and you really can mix it with nearly everything. I use it to thicken up soups, in smoothies, and I sprinkle some in oatmeal and cold cereals.Because I need at least 100 grams of protein each day, I find it hard to do that without driving up my fat, cholesterol, and caloric intake. I began using whey protein several years ago, but my lactose intolerance has also gotten considerably more sensitive. I've been making my own protein shakes since high school (long time ago) and I never tried this brand although I had always heard good things about it. I finally got me a bottle the other day and must say the taste rivals that of muscle milk (for those who have tried muscle milk you know what I'm talking about when I say it tastes like a chocolate milk shake). The first protein powder I've ever finished!
I've tried several different protein powders over the years, but I've never been able to stomach the taste of any of them with water alone, and only barely with milk. My favorite for a long time was the GNC chocolate whey protein. Folks, everything else is pure gruel compared to Syntha-6.I purchased a 2.91 pound jug of "Chocolate Milkshake." I tried it with milk and it was good but really creamy. With trepidation, I tried it with nothing but water... and found that it was DELICIOUS, especially if you add a few ice cubes. Great eplacement for cold cereal (and a cool container.)
I started trying to reel in my hypoglycemia and was looking for something to replace my habitual cold cereal breakfast. After trying 3 or 4 protein powders from the supermarket and health food store, I used an online nutritional screener to zero in on exactly what I was looking for and wound up with this. It tastes better than anything else I tried. I almost always make it in the blender with skim milk + 7 ice cubes + a banana or peanut butter. Sometimes I switch it up and eat an egg/toast for breakfast and on those days, I take a shake to work for lunch. Amazon is cheaper, more convenient, and less hassle for me than the local dealer (GNC) so I buy it here.When I'm done with a container, I use it in the garage for storage. I initially ordered this All-Natural Optimum Nutrition Whey because it was competitively priced compared to the good old artificially sweetened Optimum Nutrition Whey. Works well, but doesn't taste that great
I decided to try the vanilla version of Optimum Nutrition natural whey, since there seemed to be some sort of shortage on the chocolate at the time I needed to order. I have been using the chocolate flavor for over 3 years. This vanilla is just a bit too much flavor-wise. It should taste better if you plan on adding fruits and such to it, but still. The chocolate tastes so much better. I have no reason to buy this again as long as I can get the chocolate. Overall regardless of taste, this is still a great product nutrition wise.

Absolutely adore it
I hate protein powder. I hate it with a passion normally reserved for racists and loaning money to family but I also hate meat and my nutritionist told me that I needed to start consuming one or the other. I have a strong dislike for chocolate and peanut butter unless it's in the form of a Reese's (which is oddly enough not laced with protein) and can't stand Strawberries so I bought this unflavored. When made with just water, it's tasteless. Completely, utterly, blessedly tasteless. There was a light milk aftertaste but nothing to write home and kill a cow over. When mixed with Splenda and a bit (less than 1 tsp) of jam, it took on the flavor of the jam. My only regret was that I just bought a pound of it.As the reviews said earlier, it does keep you full for hours. I've been leaving a scoop in my (clean!) mixing cup thingy and use it when I'm out and about and don't have time to stop and eat something that doesn't come through a drive-thru window. I chose this UNFLAVORED whey protein on the basis of other reviews, and I was not disappointed! This product has worked really well for me. I wanted a whey protein that didn't have artificial flavors or fake sweeteners--even though these additives ostensibly mask the funny whang aftertaste of whey protein, I think they actually taste worse than the whang they're trying to mask! I also dislike overly sweet, sickeningly, cloyingly sweet products. This product is unflavored, with no additives or sweeteners, and it took me a long time to find one.It's worked out great--I put it in my oatmeal, along with fruit and milk.
