its tylose powder... so it does what it does
does the job. be careful not to use too much though. My first batch of gum paste seemed a bit dryer from it and caused my petals for flowers to be "edgy" instead of fine lines as the edges of the petals. BUT i did the next batch with less and it came out wonderful Top to learn more

BUY THIS!
My cake decorating instructor told me that all gum pastes taste terrible. I tried the Wilton kind and the kind at my local cake decorating supply store and found that to be true. It tastes just awful. I was amazed how bad it was. My teacher recommended a 50/50 mixture of fondant and gum paste to make flowers, but when I added gum paste to my delicious homemade marshmallow fondant, it made the whole thing taste bad. However, in an attempt to save money when I realized how quickly $7-10 a pound for premade gum paste added up, I decided to give this a try and make my own.At first I was a little disappointed because the container was not very full. More than half full, but less than 2/3. So, you don't get as much as it looks like. And when I started mixing (you mix with powdered sugar and water) it smelled pretty bad. But when I finished mixing and actually tried it I was so HAPPY. It still doesn't taste good, but it tastes very mildly bad. And when you mix it with half...

Absolutely does the job
Absolutely does the job. I use as additive for shaving soap. Quite satisfactory and highly recommended. Considerably less expensive than at the corner drug store. Top to learn more

Good buy
Good little toolkit for the money. It contains all the basic pieces needed for modeling. I'm a beginner at gumpaste modeling myself, so I don't know if this kit contains everyone one would need for more advanced techniques, but I believe this kit will be quite adequate for some time. I've seen other tools online, made of other materials, such as metal/wood, but there are more expensive. This plastic kit will do the job just fine, at least until (or if) I move on to more advanced modeling. Top to learn more

Purchase with reservations
In general, I like this product. 7 of the tools are double-ended, so it's like you are getting 14 instruments, plus the 3 single sided ones. Included are instructions and examples of how to use the tools. The instruction sheet folds flat enough for you to keep it inside the tool box. The tool box itself is flat and sturdy; and the tools snap securely into the slots. Each tool is color coded and numbered. The reason that I gave it only 3 stars is because one of the tools, the cutting/quilting wheel did not roll smoothly, and when I went to clean it, the wheels came off. ( I was only able to find one.) That particular wheel was quite small, and I have a bigger one, so that was no big loss to me, but someone that doesn't have a lot of tools at their disposal, might want to consider this.I still think that this is a better bargain than buying the tools individually. Using the flower cutter, cut out 6-8 small flowers of one color, and 6-8 flowers of another color. Use a small sugar pearl (I used white and green) and press into the center of the flower. Take a pin and gently prick the bubble and re-roll.
I own one of the original Cricuts (not the expression) and am wondering how I would use my Cricut Cake to cut paper vinyl, because my Cricut only cuts 6×12. In this video I will use my Cricut Cake for the first time, to Decorate my cake . It cuts really well. I’m assuming I would need an Expression mat, but can I use my regular cricut blade, or do I need to buy an expression blade. Can the Cricut Cake cut paper. I actually bought the Cricut Cake a few months ago, but still haven’t used it yet. I want the Cricut Cake like nobody’s business. I asked if he was ready for a piece of cake and he said yes when you get threw videoing lol. Fondant isn’t the best tasting, unless you make your own marshmallow fondant from scratch.
