A healthier, more delicious soy sauce
Soy sauce isn't just soy sauce. There are many different styles of quality and flavor, and just like any other condiment people are going to have their preferences.Personally, I love pure tamari soy sauce. This is the original stuff, darker and more flavorful; it is the traditional recipe for Japanese soy sauce as it was originally introduced from China. Made as a by-product of miso production, tamari soy sauce has far more nutrients and health benefits than the mass-produced flavoring agent that can be found in any supermarket.Unfortunately, due to production techniques and quality, tamari soy sauce is often considerably more expensive than the standard commercial variety. Even though I love it, I confess that I don't use it when recipes call for large amounts, or when the richer flavor of tamari is just going to be lost in the blend. You can purchase this directly from San-J for at least $2 less per bottle. They charge actual Published Shipping Rates based upon weight and distance. For instance it is $12.97 to ship to CA or $10.01 to ship to Alexandria, VA.

Perfection
Once you try Tamari why would you ever use soy sauce again. I first learned about San-J Tamari in 1987 while cooking at a vegetarian restaurant in Charlottesville Virginia. Much like soy sauce yet less salty with a richer and more subtle flavor. Fantastic for stir frying, as a condiment and as an ingredient in the preparation in sauces. Of all the brands I have sampled over the years none comes close to San-J Tamari. Simply the best.

Awesome for Celiacs
Having Celiac disease makes going out for sushi a problem. I got these packets to keep in the car, at work, etc. so that when we go out I don't have to worry about the wheat in the soy sauce. Perfect, good price, easy via Amazon!
Finally, I have got my hands on these gluten free travel packs. So hard to find, and even though it is 200 sachets, believe me they will last! Now I carry some in my purse, some at work: all for those sushi moments. I can't be happier and I no longer have to bring the little bottle of sanj GF soy! Yeah. Taste just fine. I use the same brand in the super large bottles at home, so I know this brand is fantastic for all their other gluten free products.. Ooh let me check if Amazon is selling the SanJ teriyaki sauce!
