Works Great!
I have been using this product for about 3 months. I had extremely dark circles under my eyes and age spots across my nose and cheeks. It is incredible how much lighter the circles under my eyes are. I used to have to cover them with concealer before putting on my foundation. I'm no longer using concealer at all. The age marks on my face are totally gone. It is so noticeable that people have commented that my face looks different, even if they can't pinpoint exactly why. I did experience some slight burning the first week or so but it went away after that.

Amazing product!
I've been using the Obagi system to clear up my melasma, liver/age spots, brown spots. It cleared up a lot but there was still spots left. I purchased Scarlight and was skeptical that it would work. It only had 2% Hydroquinone and Obagi had 4% Hydroquinone. But after just 1 month of using it, Scarlight took care of the rest of the spots that Obagi couldn't get to! I'm simply amazed at this product! I've had the brown spots on my face for almost 2 decades. I tried laser surgeries it didn't remove much plus I had a horrible scar on my face afterwards. I tried Vivite but didn't remove much either. So I got a few microderm abrasion and that removed some but then came right back. Then I tried a chemical skin peel + Obagi system and that cleared up a lot. Now I'm using Scarlight and that simply took care of the rest of it. i have a raised redish scar on my face from a mole being removed. i got it about a year ago, Mederma did not work for me. i am very impressed. it went down about half its size in the first week, the process there after has taken a little longer. i still have a little bit to go but i can barely notice it myself, let alone people that see me would never guess there is a scar there. The reason i don't like it is because i have had to exchange 3 bottles because both lids on the first two were defective and started loosen after a few days. The third bottles lid is also defective, but i am much wiser now. If you do buy this product, (and i recommend you do) get a cheap row of masking tape, (there is some at the dollar store,, for a dollar.) and tape over the crack where the lid and bottle meet. From day one- even if the lid screws on all the way. This product does not like air, and i am sure the lid will eventually loosen the same as the past three bottles of mine. IF you tape...

Stinks - Turns White - Peels off - WORKS!!!!!!!!!!
Hi. Yeah, this stuff smells like nail polish when you open it and put it up to your nose / and first going on. But don't worry, it doesn't keep smelling like that. The smell fades fast. This is best used on body parts that are NOT visible to the public - like breasts (after surgery) and cesarean section scars etc...because after you put it on it dries and looks like paper on your skin. Yes, paper. Very thin, translucent paper - that won't come off your skin IF you have it covered by a bra or underwear. BUT if you put it on an active area of your body - like elbow or leg, sure, it's going to flake right off with movement. BUT - if you use it for conditions like I mentioned above, can deal with a little stink and mess putting it on / both don't last and the area is then covered with a bra or clothing for the day - no poblem and IT WORKS GREAT. Great Product!
I am very pleased with the results I obtained from using ScarGuard ScarCare on a year-old, painful, red, raised "keloid" scar that I had from a pair of surgeries. As a result of using this product, the scar is no longer painful, the color has faded to a medium pink, and while I can still feel scar tissue under the surface of the skin, the scar is no longer raised. Do not expect overnight results with this product. While I did start to see some improvement after a couple of days, it took about 3 months of using this product twice a day to achieve these results. The packaging says that most customers end up using the product for 2-4 months. Fortunately, the product is so easy to use that there is no problem sticking with it for that long. It just takes a few seconds to brush on the liquid with the applicator that comes with the bottle, and a few more seconds to let the liquid dry into a thin film covering the scar. Healing Well
The customer service was good, they had a question for me on my order and sent me a courteous email and it was shipped very promptly. I have been using the product for 5 weeks on an incision and I believe it has been highly beneficial. It is the first time I have had stitches so I'm unable to make a comparison to healing without Scarguard. However, I am very pleased with it and would support it's claims. It is easy to use. A clear liquid, it brushes on and dries to a clear film. It feels slightly cool as it goes on. It can flake during the day if the skin is manipulated, e.g. during PT sessions, otherwise it looks good. My scar has not felt itchy or uncomfortable, and daily progress is notable. The redness is reduced dramatically as are the keloids. Seems to work!
I have a scar on my arm and started using this stuff almost a year ago. It really does work... slowly and surely. The only thing is it takes at least 6 months to see any small results, use it twice a day for sure. The scar is slowly being sucked away little by little. Its just like Rogaine, you have to keep it next to your toothbrush and slap it on twice a day real quick and forget about it! A year down the road you'll look down and notice the stuff has worked. Can barely tell I had knee surgery
Not sure why the last reviewer couldn't keep this stuff on his scar. I paint this on two scars I have from arthroscopic surgery and have been since my bandages came off (about two weeks post-surgery). Not only has the redness of the scars faded dramatically (one of them is now completely skin-toned) but the scar is flat, feels just like regular skin without the lumpy scar tissue that was trying to form underneath. Stays on very well, through a shower even. I have to peel it off so that my physical therapist can massage the area. Stinks to high heaven for the few seconds that you are painting it on, but it's dry in less than a minute. I can wear jeans over it, and the fabric won't remove it. In fact, it protects the area from abrasions since it forms that little second skin over the incision area. Overall, very pleased with this product.

Clean affected area with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly Brush Scarguard MD on twice daily Allow to dry for 1 minute before coming into contact with clothing You can reapply over existing film. Great product! Works well to reduce scars...mostly flattening them and thinning them out a bit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because once it dries, it flakes off (you're supposed to peel it off 2 times a day), and I find pieces of dried silicon all over my house. Gross! Also it smells like a chemical, so you really can't apply it and then go anywhere where you care if you smell like chemicals. It does go away though. I had surgery, and this product has been wonderful!

I love this product! It works with my skin, and doesn't irritate it. Really easy to put on, and it doesn't smell. Dries quickly...and just overall a nice product. If you use it with the Scarguard product, it will work better in minimizing the look of your scar.

How Scar Away Does after a 2.5 months
Most reviews of this product were not helpful since reviewers did not wait long enough to get results. My raised scar was a challenge for this product since it was 2 yrs old, I am in my mid-50s, and I definitely tend to scar. But after a full 2 months I finally decided the product helped. After 2 additional weeks I am quite pleased since the scar has shrunk down and is softer and less noticeable. This is for patient and determined people. In the last month, during hours when I left the scar uncovered, I rubbed on a dab of Mederma and that seemed to have helped too. Reviewers complained about the patches not staying put - just take a bandaid, peel off the gauze, and use it to hold down the patch.

Great product that actually works
I was so surprised after a few weeks of using this product. My scars look years old, and I recently had surgery about 6 weeks ago! The scars used to be raised and bright red and purple, but not anymore. They are smooth and almost all the color has disappeared. It looks as if they have been healing for years. The only complaint that I have it the adhesive wears off after 3-4 days and each strip is supposed to last a whole week. Other than that, it's a great product.
