Almost Too Easy!
This packet makes excellent pulled pork. It calls for a 3lb boneless pork shoulder roast with most/all of the fat trimmed off, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar and 1/3 cup cider vinegar. Mix up the sauce, place your pork roast in your crockpot, pour sauce over, cover and that's it! You can cook your pork on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. If I'm going to be gone slightly longer than 8 hours then I take the pork roast out of the freezer the night before and the next morning put it in the crock only partially defrosted. This seems to help keep the pork more moist if its going to be cooking more than 8 hours on low. Because usually if I'm gone for work, I'm going to be gone at least 9 hours and sometimes as much as 10. If you're going to be cooking the 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low then I recommend that the roast be completely defrosted because you want it to cook thoroughly enough that it's "pull apart" done.I make this exactly as the...

Awesome Crock Pot Pulled Pork
I am not one for using envelope seasonings, but based on the few reviews I tried it. My family, too, loved it. The package says four hours on high, though I really think five hours is more accurate. On low all day while you're at work would be outstanding. You can't go wrong here. The flavor is wonderful.

Pulling pork was never easier
I bought these for the sole purpose of pulling smoked pork butts for pulled pork sandwiches. These make the task so much easier than using large forks. I pulled two six-pound pork butts in under five minutes. These things are great!

Short & Sweet
I love the other reviewer's idea of using these to pull pork, but I bought the bear paws so that I could finally pick up and move large, roasted objects securely, from off of the flames, or just out of the roasting pan--and they do a fantastic job for both. Folks, this is a very simple item that will make a very simple cooking task MUCH friendlier to perform. There's not a lot to say about a pair of claws you use to pick up hot stuff, except: Where have they been all my life?I can't understand why the cooking stores have bear paw shaped salad tossers, but not these, which answer a much more immediate and (because of the temperatures involved) important kitchen need than how to move a piece of lettuce or two around in a bowl. Thankfully, we can get them online!

Pulling pork was never so easy.
Being a "former" fork pulling pork puller, I have to say that the Bear Paws is a great gadget to have on hand. The first weekend I had the paws, I was cooking 40 lbs of pork butts.I literally pulled all 4 butts in less than 20 minutes, whereas is with forks each butt might take 15 minutes alone.Great buy!

Doubled pricing! Inconsistent, cost can't be counted on....
Had bought Omaha Steaks carnitas recently and they are delicious... but for half as much as they are now charging. Soon as they run a free shipping promotion on Omaha Steaks direct, they jack food price double to match on Amazon.com. When I went into my Amazon account to look into this, noticed they don't itemize prices and only offer links to the current product and price. Not until I went into my actual Amazon order could I check what they had charged previously. My advise is to pay close attention to price, count, and weight with this company because they have questionable and even deceptive business practices. Do your homework... sometimes Amazon.com offers free shipping for orders from this company over $75, but not lately. Depending on how much you order, shipping climbs considerably, but bottoms out at around $20 for what should be 2nd day air. I've had orders arrive much later however, despite this higher shipping cost. Considering I purchase fish from Catalina Offshore...

Delicious!!
This was the first time I tried these smoked pork loin ribs and I must say..........they were scrumptious! They were about 1/2 bone to 1/2 meat but truly succulent. Quick and easy to prepare in my convection oven. I will be buying these again when Omaha Steaks has it's next 50% off sale.

Love the Meatrake!
My fiancée and I just received our Meatrakes last week and we're already loving them! Sarah used it to shred chicken for a tortilla soup she made and the Meatrake was very helpful in tearing the meat. Normally, it takes a long time shred the chicken, and we haven't found a tool that does a very good job...until now. We've started buying them for all of our friends as wedding gifts, so soon everyone will be shredding along with us. They seem very durable and well made, so we're looking forward to keeping ours for a long time!

Where Can I buy Pulled Pork

Whether you order a sandwich, a meal, or a family feast be sure to choose Pulled Pork today from Woodies. Pulled Pork is one of the most popular choices at Woodies Smokehouse. Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Turkey, Ham, Hot Links, Chicken, and Polish Sausage. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. We are located in Mcpherson KS, and Great Bend, KS. Take a look at our meats, sides, sandwiches, dinners, family packs, kids meals, and group feasts. Great prices, great service, GREAT food.  Buy one Plane Jane Sandwich and get one free.

1 head green cabbage, finely shredded 2 large carrots, finely shredded 3/4 cup best-quality mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 cup diced Granny Smith Apples 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste 2 tablespoons white vinegar 1 tablespoon dry mustard... To make your pulled pork into a stellar meal, we recommend constructing a sandwich using fresh hoagie buns and top your pulled pork with our Good Ol Granny Slaw served beside your favorite leafy green salad. Using 2 forks, shred the pork by steadying the meat with 1 fork and pulling it away with the other. To serve, spoon the pulled pork mixture onto the bottom 1/2 of the hoagie bun, and top with the slaw. The key to creating great pulled pork is to braise your meat for 5-6 hours until it becomes fork tender. Pour 1/2 of the sauce on the shredded pork and mix well to coat. Pork shoulder is a great cut of meat for this recipe and budget friendly. The Pork: To make the barbecue sauce: combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.

Now we are going to grab the pork roast out of the fridge, rub this generously on all sides, wrap in aluminum foil (shiny side in) and put it back in the fridge. I was talking to a friend of mine today *waves at Nick* and we chatted briefly about my moderately infamous pulled pork recipe. If you like you can scale up the recipe and make a good-sized batch of this, simply store in a mason jar with “Dechs BBQ Rub” written on it with a magic marker. If you are like me and all you have to work with is a crock pot with high and low settings go with High while using a meat thermometer to let you know when it makes it to 185-190. If you are using the oven or you have one of those fancy roaster oven type slow cookers, like a Nesco cooker, that have an actual temperature gauge set it for 325 for about 6 hours. Once again, a mason jar with “Dechs BBQ Sauce, Use with caution, Shake before use” written on it with a marker is a good choice. I hope you like it as much as I do. 1/4 teaspoon salt (I like sea or kosher for this. In my case I make a batch four times larger and store it in a half-gallon jug I once bought beer in. It just fits if I let it cool off first. Once it does, drop it to low and cook for an additional three hours at an internal temp of 170-180. Actually if you are going to go with the Mason jar idea, make enough to fill it about half way up and then just shake the heck out of it. No need to dirty a bowl. Once it’s there lower your cooking temp to maintain 170-180 for about three hours. All I can offer is a thank you for stopping by, you folks make all the writing worthwhile. I rubbed this one down on a Sunday evening for cooking Tuesday. Probably about 6 hours total, but your mileage may vary on that one depending on your crock pot.

I prefer to make this recipe with pork ribs because I think ribs are just the best things ever. The pork pieces dont have to be tiny either, but smaller pieces will break down easier. Anyway, pork shoulder is much cheaper and to be honest it tastes about the same, shoulder is just a little harder to work with because:. Cut the remaining pork up into pieces that fit in the bowl and pour in your favorite BBQ sauce. Put it on a spike as a warning to other pork fats that you are not a merciful ruler. Slap strangers across the face with it and yell “you’ve been pork-fatted. Cover it in salt and make pork crackling.
