You can take 3 pills just one time a day!
The only con that I THOUGHT I had about these pills is that you had to take them 3 times a day and sometimes I would forget. But I found out you can take 3 pills at the same time- only one time a day. (I spoke to New Chapter) And it's not difficult because they are so easy on the stomach.Just thought everyone would like to know.

Explanation as to why these do not pass your standard dissolve test
I had been taking a prenatal vitamin prescribed by my doctor for two years, because I told her my husband and I were planning on having a family relatively soon. I never noticed a big energy difference, or really any difference at all in how I felt. I began to research switching prenatals once I found out I was pregnant, because I still felt undernourished even while eating healthy, taking vitamins, and exercising. After asking around I decided to buy these after hearing positive reviews from friends who had just had babies, and talking to my doctor.Within three days to a week of taking them, I was shocked at how much of an energy increase I noticed, and how much my mood and overall well-being increased. It was almost like I was truly awake and alive for the first time in years. I was almost hyper at first, but it was a welcomed change to feeling sluggish and tired constantly. After a couple weeks I no longer felt hyper at all, just much healthier, happier, and more...

Wonderful Prenatal Vitamin
I feel so much better about this vitamin, that is is whole-food derived. Very gentle on the stomach.A note to the reviewer about the calcium, I too wondered about the insufficient calcium in (all) prental vitamins. I even asked my ob why and he didn't know?? ... finally found out that calcium blocks iron absorbtion. So you need to take a calcium supplement at a different time than your prenatal.

Best Prenatal Multivitamin ever!
Before I discovered these I was going to walgreens and literally paying double the price for a brand I can't even remember now. Rainbow Light is a good brand, has the same ingredients as the more expensive one's, and has the exact nutrients someone needs for prenatal care. I like too that they are natural and don't make me feel sick which I've heard of happening to others. Also, these vitamins have the ingredient insitiol i.e. vitamin B8) in them. Besides being something good for the fetus and for milk production, if you take 20-30mg per day, you also see a noticeable difference in the health and look of your hair, nails, and skin. These pills only have 10mg per serving so I also take it in powder form to get the extra benefit, , pretty neat bonus. An all-around great multi-vitamin and the one I...

A great choice
I did a lot of research before buying these vitamins, and I can say with confidence that I felt they were the best choice for me and my baby (except maybe New Chapter vitamins, but those are SO crazy expensive and have to be taken so frequently that they really weren't a viable option).I was very concerned about the lead content issue raised in one of the reviews of this product and I followed up with the FDA and my midwife and the Rainbow Light company and I received sufficient evidence to dispell my concerns.I'll admit, the taste can be pretty miserable and the pills are enormous. I gag about 90% of the time I swallow them... but I always get them down eventually. Anyhow, my feeling is, it's a worthwhile sacrifice for my baby's health.

Not only for those Pregnant or trying to concieve....PCOS sufferers here's your supplement!!
I suffer from PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which causes infertility and has a multitude of syptoms and other conditions associated: obesity, diabetes, cysts on ovaries, infertility, either severe periods or no periods, and also an over production of Testosterone leading to excess hair in places like a woman's chin, while hair loss is also part of it. It's easily treated with medication and healthy diet, when caught early. When caught early the fear of infertility is mitigated somewhat.Since I'm now medicated and starting to move into a healthy diet and my health is in order to the point where I am fertile. I am not intending on getting pregnant any time soon, nor have I ever had a child. But when I was looking for supplements to compliment my more healthy regime, I found out as a PCOS sufferer I had special needs such as an increase in a few vitamins more than others. I didn't want to sit there taking 8 pills in a day, so I was looking for an all-in-one remedy...

Tastes like candy!
I was very discouraged with regular prenatal vitamins that are the size of horse pills OR with the omega supplement that has a fishy aftertaste. These gummies taste great, I was surprised at how much they taste like candy, and there is no bad aftertaste! I actually look forward to taking my vitamins each day. Great product, would recommend to my friends and family who are looking for an alternative to regular prenatal vitamins.

Much better than the conventional vitamin
I wanted to try something different for this next child. The first time, I went through 3 types of prescribed vitamins and ended up on a children's chewable at the end of my pregnancy. I had horrible nausea, gas, and constipation that were actually a result of my vitamin. I started taking these prior to a pregnancy and it's amazing how much easier they go down and they taste pretty decent too. I did notice that they don't contain Calcium and Iron...I've already been taking a calcium supplement and Iron even though it's recommended, it's also a cause for constipation so I'll talk to my doctor about if he would like me to also take a supplement for that too. It probably it easier to go with the the 1 pill but I just can't do it again. I'd rather go with multiple pills and feel better. Give these a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised

actually two-a-day, good value
I was disappointed when Costco stopped carrying the 90 day supply of these. But here they are on Amazon and at $43.90, it's still a much better value than at the pharmacy.I used these vitamins all through my pregnancy and am still using them 3 months into nursing my baby boy. I tried several other brands of prenatals and liked this one the best. This was because it did not make me as nauseous as other brands in the beginning of my pregnancy (though taking them on an empty stomach in the morning did still bother me). The vitamin also includes iron, which some other brands I sampled did not. Finally, the DHA supplement is derived from fish oil but the pill itself doesn't have that fishy (and stomach turning) aroma that fish oil supplements usually do.For anyone buying this site unseen, the brand is one-a-day but there are actually two pills to take here. One is a multivitamin and the other is the DHA supplement. Both pills are large, but not quite the horse...

No nausea, no fishy taste
I have been taking these for over 2 months now (pre-pregnancy). The two things that I have seen people complain about with pre-natals is that they cause nausea and/or a fishy taste. I have had neither so far, and these meet all the vitamin doses my doctor recommended.

Mercury in DHA vitamin?
I have been taking this vitamin for the last 5 months and I have been doing a lot of research about the possible effects of mercury on the baby. About two months ago I stopped taking the dha pill and went to another vitamin that states the mercury has been removed. This has been getting too expensive, so I have sent an email to One A Day asking if the mercury has been removed since neither the website nor the packaging states if it has and I will post their response once I hear something.

Best Prenatal Vitamin Hands Down!
Hi! Here's my story. In 2010 I got pregnant for the first time. I talked to a dear friend of mine who told me that she had done a ton of research and all prenatal vitamins were NOT created equal. She said that by far, she felt that these New Chapter Perfect Prenatal vitamins were the best ones out there. Now I'm going to backtrack for a second. For the year PRIOR to getting pregnant I was constantly getting sick (even though I took vitamins everyday including a good woman's daily), etc. If there was someone walking down the street two miles from me with a cold or flu virus, I would catch it. It was so bad that I had friends and family telling me that I needed to go to the doctor to find out why I would get sick so incredibly easy. But truth be told, I had always considered my immune system to not be the greatest and had always picked up illness somewhat easily...even before that year when it had gotten particularly bad. I used to joke (although it's not really...

Healthy Pregnancy ? Fetal Development* Perfect Prenatal whole-food multivitamin, including targeted levels of whole-food folate, is formulated specifically to nourish mother and baby. Most people would agree that taking a daily multivitamin is a good idea - it's often referred to as an "insurance policy" for covering nutritional gaps left by a less than optimal diet. New Chapter® believes a daily multi can be much more than a nutrient backstop. In fact, we believe our Organic, Whole-Food Multi's can serve as the foundation of your complete nutrition program - with multiple benefits in support of your overall health and wellness. Great product, but compare prices
This is a wonderful vitamin that I've been using long-term, with no stomach upset.I assumed that buying the larger count would mean savings per pill, but not so in this case. I compared the cost per pill of this 270-count version against the 180-count version, and at least on this site as of today, the 180-count version is cheaper per pill. Do the math before you decide which to buy.

Works wonders!
These are by far my favorite prenatal vitamins. I am currently pregnant with my 2nd baby and I had the hardest time taking prenatal vitamins that were perscribed to me doing my first pregnancy. They were HUGE horsepills... I had to break them in half then suffer the scraping they did when they went down my throat! This pregnancy, I decided to try something new. I absolutely love these prenatal vitamins. Not only are they a lot easier to take but they don't taste disgusting or have a nasty vitamin smell to them. Another thing that I love about these vitamins is how they have done wonders for my hair and nails. I have very thin and brittle nails and now they are long and strong and my hair is a lot healthier/shinier and is growing like crazy which is a hugeeee plus!!! :)

Satisfied Customer
I started taking these vitamins 3 months prior to becoming pregnant, by suggestion of my physician. Although I've felt nauseous almost every part of every day that I've been pregnant so far (I'm now 3 months along) I have only been sick once. I believe the right prenatal vitamin will not upset a pregnant stomach because they help create balance. Also, starting vitamins (especially one including folic acid) is important PRIOR to becoming pregnant, as that is what aids in proper brain and spine development of the baby early on.
