Nice for work and daily wear but is barely noticeable after a few hours.
This fragrance has fruity top notes, floral middle notes (jasmine and white rose) and musky bottom notes. The dry-down is nice. Some other summer time perfumes I use are DKNY Be Delicious which is a bit more fruity and stronger and Davidoff Cool Water is more "spicy and sporty", Oxygene by Lanvin has a slight chemical note to it and Shi by Alfred Sung is more floral and "soapy". Light Blue is nicely balanced between fruity and floral and musky. The musk anchors the perfume or it would be too light to be noticeable. This perfume perks me up during the day but it is a little too light for me for night time use. For night time in the summer I use Michael by Michael Kors, Chanel Allure and J'Adore.The 3.4 oz version was available for a slightly lower price at a discount club during Christmas. I think this price is still a bit on the higher side for just 1.7 oz.

An old friend re-found
I've loved Gucci "Rush 2" since I first encountered it at Sephora - I like the spicy asian scent with an urban note to it. When it was time to get another bottle, I found that they no longer carried it, though frustratingly, "Rush (1)" was readily available (which unfortunately smells like Black Flag on me). I was delighted to find Rush 2 still available on line.The cassette-case perfume bottle, while distinctive, is a bit unwieldy and the broad flat bottom means that you can never use all of the product.

I am a fragrance fanatic but have very particular tastes. This is thefirst time I have EVER bought a fragrance without having sampled it first.I just had a feeling about this perfume that proved to be spot on. I hadnever even heard of it until I saw it on Amazon and I ordered it from thereviews I read and the beautiful packaging. This perfume has turned out to be one of my favorites!!! It is light andetheral and not overpowering at all which is what I look for in a fragrance.It is extremely feminine and girly. I have no regrets about taking a chanceon this perfume. It has such a unique smell that its difficult to actuallydescribe it. Its one of a kind. I would recomend it for anyone who likesvery soft, feminine fragrances. The bottle is gorgeous and classy. Beautiful fragrance...best price you'll ever find
Please note...I am a perfume junkie! The only fragrance I love more is V by Valentino. I sprayed a little Juicy Couture on one day while frangrance shopping and the smell just haunted me. No matter what I did that evening, I couldn't help noticing how wonderful this fragrance was. The next day, I went on a mission to get this perfume ASAP. Even at discount outlets, the 1.7oz. bottle was $70+. Being an avid Amazoner, I knew I had to check here before buying anywhere else. I was amazed to see that the 3.4oz bottle was cheaper than the 1.7oz in stores...WOW! I immediately purchased. The box and bottle were beautiful and the charm was cute...but nothing compares to the actual fragrance. BEWARE...this scent drives men CRAZY!!

Where Can I buy Perfume Samples

Some of the topics that I have had the pleasure of discussing via e-mail in these last days are vintage perfumes, samples, where to buy perfume online, should you wear perfume everyday, is it ok to wear perfume in a restaurant, how to support a... So, I am pro samples and pro perfume shops that understand when a client comes the third time in a week and wants to try the same perfume. However, and this is important: the perfume in a sample that is given for free has been produced with as much care and investment as the perfume in the bottle. As followers of this blog know I am a strong opponent to hasty stressful perfume shopping and to shops that sell perfume in such a way. The other way to get samples of fragrances that is becoming increasingly common, is to buy them from the perfume houses through their web shops. A sample allows you to try a perfume for a few days, and it is less of a decision and expense than a full bottle so it becomes easy and fun to try more new fragrances. When I have an idea of what would work and what this specific person is looking for in terms of notes or character and the needs (for example if it is a signature scent or a perfume wardrobe) I will usually give them a couple of samples to try out... A lot of samples also circulate around me as I sometimes help people find a new perfume. Not all perfume houses provide samples. So treat your perfume samples with respect. This is a great and affordable way to try a new fragrance, or to get to know a perfume house better.

They use various tactics but the best one to use is to write to as many fine perfume and fragrance companies and then ask them nicely to provide samples so you can decide which one to purchase in the future. These fine perfumes and fragrances may be Lacost, Chanel, Paco Rabanne or Burberry and many others that are very expensive and cost a bundle if you want to buy.

Would a Calvin Klein perfume sample in a magazine smell the same as a Hermes perfume sample in a magazine. While the Calvin Klein perfume smells different from the Hermes perfume in the bottle, the samples may seem pretty similar in the magazine. If you ever buy magazines, you will notice how sometimes they come with inserts of free perfume samples. I wonder if you were to compare the actual bottle scent of perfume to the sample in the magazine, if they would smell the same or different. Unless you have an extremely good sense of smell, it may be hard to differentiate between Calvin Klein and Hermes perfume samples in a magazine.

The new site will provide decants of niche/mainstream//indie/discontinued fragrances as well as educational sample packs by notes, historical significance, award winners, perfumers, and perfume houses. Postage is always a factor for us in Australia, Luckyscent is very generous too, but they have to be because postage to Australia is $34 for 1 bottle and anything over 2 bottles $50 (used to be $40). They believe perfume is fun and want people to surrender the way they think about perfume, to take a chance and try something completely different. I’m in a small city in Australia and there was NO WAY I could have sampled what I have sampled without TPC. I used to be a loyal customer of The Perfumed Court, but found that in the last year or so their prices were very spendy and the shipping to Australia was also getting dearer, so it would have to be a 20% sale to tempt me. At least Surrender is... I think First in Fragrance are wonderful, they are very generous with their free samples (excellent way to sell products let’s be honest) which give you at least 3-4 generous applications. The new site will also focus on enhanced customer service, realtime inventory controls to track stock, streamlined shipping, and easier site navigation for the beginner as well as the experienced perfumista. Maybe I paid with cc via PayPal on the site (I don’t have a PayPal account and don’t want to get one). I was a customer of TPC, but thought I’d try this new venture, especially with their opening offers and lower prices.
