More than I expected, fast
I bought three different types of poppies from this vendor, and I think the service merits that I post the review for each purchase.I ordered Danish Flag, Turkish Black, and Peshawar White seeds. I haven't grown them yet, so I will come back to write reviews after I have. But so far, I have been pleased that:1. The package arrived three days earlier than anticipated.2. It came in a bubble-wrapped envelope, and each of the seed packets were labelled.3. The order was hand-signed and personalized.4. I received a bonus packet of seeds (Papaver Rhoeas.)I literally got more than I expected; I would rate it six stars if I could.

Finally found what I am after
This supplier obviously has gardening in their blood, as the package I received had been put together with great care and attention to detail. Love the little seed packets, and full instructions given.I have been looking for Lauren's Grape for some time now, although I did not know it's name until now. I saw it growing in a garden I visited, and thought wow!! I have to have some of that. I had only got photographs to go on for comparison. Apparently Great Dixter has trialed it, and it had great reviews. Unable to get anyone to part with some seed here in the U.K. so I decided to go further afield.Whilst searching I also found this lovely white specimen. Can't wait to see what happens with these two specimens in 2010.Will definately keep this seller in my favourites for future purchases.

Fast Delivery and good seeds. Great company A+++++
Ordered the Danish Flag somniferum 1,500 seeds and I am happy to say they arrived quickly and were in good condition. Also got a gift pack of seeds as a bonus as well : ) It is still a bit early to plant them yet but I germinated a 100 or so just to see how they would do and they are growing nicely. One thing I would recommend is to to not use Peat pellets to germinate if possible but rather to plant them right into packed high quality potting soil. Believe it or not I had good luck with Miracle grow moisture control soil (even though I am not a fan of miracle grow products) and or FOXFARM planting soil... If possible dig a 3'-4' deep trench and plant them in the ground because you can plant them in pots but they tend to grow better in the ground and although others have had trouble transplanting I find if you transplant them from a peat pellet to a pot or into the ground they don't die off as much and have an easier time adjusting to the transplant. Great Poppy, easy to grow, and brilliant colors
The previous 1 star review is way off. He doesn't know anything about poppies. The Danish Flag is the exact same species of poppy grown in Afghanistan and elsewhere. This is a variety of an Afghani cultivar of the papaver somniferum bred for it's coloration. It's only called Danish Flag because of the colors and cross. But if he's ever seen a classic Afghan poppy he'd see the pattern is exactly the same, the red is just a lot redder in the Danish Flag variety. The Danish Flag is easy to grow as long as it has decent soil, enough space, full sun, and fairly dry conditions around flowering. Plant in the late Fall or early Spring. At germination and lettuce stage they prefer a shorter 12 hour day, at flowering they prefer a 16 hr or longer daytime. Try to plant where you intend to grow, they hate transplanting, and it will stunt their growth. Can be grown in pots with varying results depending on the pot's size. Keep them well drained. The seller shipped my seeds quickly. When i recieved them i didnt have any seed starter so i planted a few in some mulch and they sprouted really quick. ofcourse the mulch isnt good for growing seeds but they sprouted and grew. Great seeds. I Can highly recommend this seller and these seeds.

I ordered 5 poppy varieties from 'One Stop Poppy Shoppe', and recieved them very fast. They arrived very well labeled, with pictures and names on each package. (Included was a sixth package, a thank you gesture?). Included was growing instructions, and a brief history of poppies. This is July, so I haven't planted them yet. The mix will make a very interesting garden, something the neighbors don't have.

skeptical at first, but none the less, very satisfied
At first i figured there would be no place to find these historic flowers, i thought all hope was lost, and i saw that they wherehere on amazon, and since amazon is, for the most part, a very reliable online sorce for products i came to my senses and gave it a try. For $4.99 all together with shipping and handling i had very little to lose.so i order'd them, they got here on time and than all i had to do was to hope that they would grow. becouse for all i knew he coulda just sold me some stail seed's. but, i woke up this morning and took a look at my planter and wouldn't ya know it, there was a little sproutling sticking up outa the soil. so i am just writeing this note as sort of a thanks to this seedman for actualy comeing through on this.-DeadHead
