This is a nice blackstrap molasses. I will say, however, if you are looking for BSM for an iron supplement, try to find the kind from House of Herbs which has 75% of RDA of iron; this brand has 25%.

Date Molasses - An Awesome Product!
Date Molasses is an awesome substitute for processed sugar in lots of recipes. According to the label, the only thing in the jar is dates! Regardless, I love using this product in my kitchen and was very disappointed when it was unavailable for a certain time (and I was out!). I am very happy to see that it is available again. And as I continue to use it, I will continue to replace my stock. It has become one of my kitchen essentials!

A Very Good Product
I don't use a lot of molasses in my cooking but when I bake ginger snaps I love that the recipe I have calls for 1/4cup of molasses. Why? Because molasses have a lot of iron. 4% of the daily requirement per 1 tablespoon of Grandma's. Not a fantastic amount per cookie, but every little bit helps with toddlers and growing big kids.That said, you can imagine my surprise when my husband brought home another brand -Golding Farms- where the iron percentage is double (2X!) Grandma's.Something to consider.Pam Teemom/foodieps--this is the 2nd best molasses advice I ever got --first is don't use sulpured: Use a spray oil on measuring cups. That way the molasses just slips out and you get all the goodness.

A bit pricey, but awesome flavor
I'll likely try to buy this local next time, because it is pricey, but the cost is worth it. I used to think all molasses was the same, but, like honey or peanut butter, there is a difference. this has the best taste. I use it for my shake (handful of almonds, an apple or banana, flaxseed, tablespoon of molasses and some whey protein powder and a little soy milk) for an after-workout snack, but plan to try it in cooked dishes as well.

Quick shipping, Grandma's Molasses - what needs to be said?
It's been around longer than I can remember, and it's quality is consistent. I consider it the best molasses on the market. I would not have bought it via Amazon, but for some bizarre reason I cannot find it locally. Shipping was fast and efficient.

Best Molasses Out There
This is one of the best and natural tasting molasses I have came across. It is sweet, cake batter like consistency and dark brown. The product shipped on time. I used it to make Yomari(google it :)) It's the Nepali, more specifically Newari delicacy. The molasses tasted exactly like I used to eat back home. Thanks Slow As Molasses.

Yum
I love molasses and use it mainly in baking. This is very good. I was expecting a little bit of a stronger flavor, because of the "Dark and Zesty" name. It reminds me of Grandma's brand molasses, maybe just a tad stronger. It's not too thick so it's easy to pour or spoon out of the bottle. The price is right too; less than I pay at the grocery store. Do be aware that this comes in plastic, not glass bottles.

Pleased with product and price
I was searching for light molasses. Not sure if I found it. This product states it is light and mild but tastes very much like the Grandmother's brand I usually buy in the local grocery. Price was better than what I can purchase locally.

best tasting molasses
I'm not sure what the difference is, but I've tried Grandma's and Brer Rabbit full flavor and neither of them come close. Maybe it's the Earth giving back flavor in return for their eco-conscious worker friendly practices:) This is the best tasting molasses that I've tried - nice strong flavor and dark color. The only caveat is to be watchful when baking - because of its naturally darker color you can't tell as readily when cookies are done, but the flavor trade off is worth the extra watchfulness!

A good quality molasses
I use this in my coffee and teas as a sweetener. It does not have a bitter taste like some of the cheap molasses that you'd buy at the store. Will be keeping this on my shopping list!
