Best Matcha I've found so far!
I am very into health and will research every product I consume until I am certain it's worthy. I've tried 3 different organic matchas in the past and this is, by far, the best.This is a vibrant green color (very pretty color - especially when made)This is proof that young leaves were chosen and dried properly. The brighter, the better. Some matchas are dull green (dirty pea green color) - these are more of a food grade matcha (for baking, ice creams, etc.). Food grade matchas have a dull taste as well. Ceremonial (drinking) tea should always be vibrant. This is an excellent drinking tea.The packaging is the best I've seen. Not only does it come in a sealed pop/top can, but once opened you will find your tea inside a sealed foiled bag. Impressive. Excellent Quality Matcha at a Good Price
Having tried two different matcha powders thus far from Amazon.com, I am extremely impressed by the quality of DoMatcha's product. The other product I had ordered from Tao of Tea, while cheaper and 3 times the size and also of Japanese origin, simply does not compare to the fresh appearance and taste of DoMatcha's product. Exceptionally vibrant green color out of the box that turns into an extremely lush, dark forest green color upon addition of water, with an exceptionally fresh taste to match. If the matcha powder Starbuck's uses is taken as a token standard of like 100, Tao of Tea's matcha would be 80 or 90, while DoMatcha would be at least 125. The former two have colors of dull green and greenish-yellow respectively after water is mixed in with the matcha.I have not tried the really high-quality, really expensive premium matcha with elegant Japanese names and calligraphy on the cases they come in. But I am willing to bet that DoMatcha can quite hold its own against...

My favorite matcha!
This matcha is simply wonderful!Bright green color and excellent taste. I have been using this matcha for over 6 months now and while it is a little more expensive than most, it is the best that I have tried. The best thing is that it is the best way to get your green tea and is extremely healthy for you. Give DoMatcha a try, I think you will love it too!Don't forget to get a Chasen (bamboo whisk), Chashaku (bamboo scoop) and a Chawan (matcha bowl) to complete the experience.

Excellent; A great alternative compared to Starbucks Green tea lattes
I purchased the matcha powder in hopes to replicate the green tea lattes at starbucks. Starbucks matcha powder contains more sugar than matcha, so i thought Id try creating my own. This product is amazing and tastes exactly like the green tea lattes. I chose not to add a syrup, but it would work very nicely. To have a similar green tea latte like starbucks i use this recipe:1 cup of hot milk separated (I use skim)1 teaspoon of matcha powder3 tablespoons of hot water.Sugar/Splenda (optional)Choice of Flavored Syrup (Optional)First disolve and mix the hot water with the matcha powder. Get all the clumps out before continuing. Then add about 3/4 cup of the milk to the matcha water mixture and mix to completely blend. Using a frother, froth the remaining milk until it resembles a foam. (I also purchased a small travel frother from Amazon) Add it to the top of the latte.Add sugar/spenda if desired.Add syrup if desired.

The one you've been looking for!
I did my research and found the Matcha Green Tea Powder and how well this product will help with my health concerns. I read and have proof that it has improved my health and will improve anyones health that will incorporate this fine product into their life. I like a small amount of honey in my tea. Others can find many ways that they will like it. It is worth every penny and more!!! And a plus...I have been drinking it once or twice a day, for alittle over a month and I have lost weight drinking it, feel more alert, no caffeine buzz,(I can't usually tolerate caffeine), my skin and hair has improved and I feel that I have more strength. My husband is now drinking it because he sees the improvement in me and he is starting to feel the difference in his health. Excellent buy for organic culinary grade matcha!!!
This organic matcha is great for everyday use!!! I will definitely buy this matcha again and again! I put matcha in smoothies or make tea by the quart with honey. Ceremonial grade matcha is just too expensive to drink everyday by the quart or to load up smoothies with it. This tea has a good, clean flavor that is flavorful enough without being overpowering. I have found it to be delicious in smoothies made with a fresh peach or mango, coconut milk, honey, ice, and a teaspoon of this matcha powder dumped directly into the blender. It is a great way to enjoy the delicate flavor of matcha and the health benefits never tasted so good! You are getting many times over the anti-oxidant effects of green tea from a tea bag because you are actually ingesting the tea leaves when you enjoy matcha. When making matcha as a tea by itself, less is more. I use 1 teaspoon to a whole teapot of steaming (not boiling) water (but I enjoy strong flavors), then I mix in honey after it cools a little...

I drink a lot of tea, and over the years I have done my own research. Inevitably, I discovered matcha, its abundant health benefits and its ease of preparation. Few who are not avid tea enthusiasts or those who don't drink high quality teas for their staggering health benefits, or gift of wellness, might not favor the taste of matcha. However, for the majority, matcha honestly does not taste bad, and if you disagree, just add some sweetness to it, like some agave, honey, lemon, stevia, or sugar. You could even mix up the condiments to create your own nirvana for your taste buds. My Winning Matcha!
I've tried quite a few different types of Matcha in the last few months and this one is my favorite! I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur or anything but to me this one has the best flavor and price combination. I tried the SerendipiTea Matcha and I just couldn't get past the bitter taste... no matter how cheap it was. True this one is pricier but its cheaper than the DoMatcha first harvest (taking into account that this is a 2.82 ounce tin and the first harvest comes in a 1.08 ounce tin) and tastes just as good. Basically it has all the elements I'm looking for: smooth taste, organic, and at least a little cheaper than some of the other options.

great smooth clean matcha tea but what will the Amazon price be?
This morning I reviewed 2 ORGANIC matcha teas, side by side:1. The first one was: "2nd harvest Organic Domatcha" tea that I purchased at a local farmer's market, and I paid $37.99 for this 2.82 oz tin. Result = 4.5 stars (greatest taste and foam, organic, very expensive)2, The second one was "SerendipiTea matcha culinary grade organic green tea" which I ordered on amazon.com, paying only $17.99 for a whopping 4 oz. bag. Four of us did a blind taste-test of the 2nd Harvest against the 1.06-ounce premium. We were split down the middle as to which tasted better. If there is any astringency to the 2nd Harvest, it is very slight! Since that time we've ordered more, and are thoroughly enjoying it.

Impressed with the taste and quality
This is an excellent matcha. I have tried several different mathcas of varying quality and from different suppliers, and this is one of the best. Everything about this matcha surprised me. From the package inside the tin keeping it fresh (expected it loose inside the tin), to the super bright neon green color and complicated, somewhat sweet taste. There is really no drink I enjoy more than a good matcha and this satisfies completely.Aside from all the apparent tastes there are two sensations that lurk right below the surface but permeate the entire experience - freshness and pleasantness. They aren't tastes but a kind of experience that can't be seperated from the taste of the tea. Is this what is called the 5th taste, umami? I don't know but nothing else is as pleasant as drinking a fresh cup of this matcha.I know there are other better matchas out there but is anything more expensive than $10/oz really worth it? I mean, will you actually be able to tell...

You get what you pay for.
After finished several cans of DoMatcha Organic (which we REALLY love!!!), we decided to try the 2nd Harvest because of the cost factor. Along with the decreased in price and increased in quantity, we also noticed a significant diminish in the aroma, earthy good taste, and potency. It's noticeably bland as compared to the higher quality DoMatcha. But....if you've never tried the other grade and/or don't like the stronger taste, then this one isn't bad for the price. We prepared the tea the traditional way, with just hot water and whisking. In addition, it has more bitter taste than the green can DoMatcha.

I agree: The real deal
I lived in Japan years ago. This is Japanese green tea. It might say "Kirkland" on the box, but it is really Ito En tea (which is printed on each pack), as well-known Japanese tea company. The best thing about this tea is that it does not get bitter after a long steep -- unlike just about any other Japanese tea. In fact, I have left the bag in my tea holder all afternoon on occasion, and the tea still tastes great. Buy this if you want the real Japanese green tea taste.

Best Green Tea!
I never liked green tea. I always found the taste terrible and bitter when compared to black tea. And even though I have tried to acquire the taste for green tea by trying many different varieties, I have always been unsuccessful until,... I was introduced to this Japanese tea. It is truly wonderful! It is mildly slightly sweet and aromatic. The nylon tea bag and individually sealed packages are great as well. A truly great green tea!
