In defense of greasy
I have dry skin, and this works perfectly as a daily moisturizer. It even removes a step from my routine (before I would apply moisturizer then sunscreen, this is effectively both). It doesn't melt into my mouth. It does make my face shiny --there's no getting around it- but that doesn't bother me. My mother hates the gunky texture of the SPF 15, and she uses the SPF 50 "fluide extreme" which is a drier formula, over a moisturizer. She warns that you have to let your moisturizer fully absorb before applying the sunscreen or else it all pills up and rubs off your face like eraser sweepings.

Excellent for Winter time
UVA rays are contant throughout the year, UVB rays are based on actual intensity of sunlight. This is the best UVA sun protection on the market because of the combination of Memorex AND Avobenzone. To increase the UVB (SPF from 15 to 50) you would need to add either Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, or Oxybenzone for UVB protection. In America, I believe the FDA has not approved the combined use of Avobenzone with Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide together in the same sunscreen. I don't see why Oxybenzone, Avobenzone, and Memorex SR can't be combined, perhaps too many chemicals in one lotion imposes unforesen harm. This is why in order to raise the SPF and keep the sunscreen safe by FDA standards, it's either Avobenzone or sacrificing a little UVA to up the UVB. During winter, the UVB threat is lower than summertime, but the UVA threat is merely unchanged, so use this in winter. I hope this helps.

I love it
I have stage 3B Melanoma, the most deadly of skin cancers. I started using this sunscreen shortly after diagnosis. It is wonderful. I am a golfer and camper and am still out in the sun a lot. I have never gotten any sunburn since I started using this. My biggest complaint about sunscreen was that it made my skin greasy. This does not and at SPF 15, it completely protects me. My 89-year old Mom started using it also, after being an avid Clinique user for many years. She is so impressed.

Best sunscreen ever so sensitive skin
I got this product because I have rosacea and very sensitive skin, everytime I try skin products my face gets really irritated speccially when I use sunscreen, but that is the one thing I never left home without, I live in Fl and is always really hot and sunny, to leave the house without sunscreen is a big mistake for my skin, but I never found a good sunscreen that would suit my needs. When I first got it in the mail I remember thinking that is a little expensive considering how small it is, but is worth every penny, I will defenitly keep buying it time and time again, I use it after moisturizing in my face and the results are incredible, its not pasty or oily, is just perfect.

So happy I don't have to import this from Europe!
I have been using the "Anthelios Fluide Extreme" for years after discovering it in Paris, either picking it up when I traveled to the EU or importing at ridiculous cost. Annoying and expensive, but it's simply the best sunscreen out there for daily use -- light, easy to use, lasts all day, plus cuts out the need for morning moisturizer. What a delight to find that they have found a US importer! The US formula is slightly different, and I think a bit better, as it leave my skin more matte. However, now that it is winter, I find the formula dries me out a bit, so I will either import the slightly greasier EU formula or try one of the other Anthelios products available here. One complaint -- no mexoryl in this one (their press releases are very specific about this.) I can't find out anything about what "cell-ox" actually is. But I do trust that there's some UVA protection.

MD-recommended
My top derm doc recommends this, as do many other skin experts. (I've used this for years, but I also use Retin-A. I'm a 49-yr-old Asian MD who still gets carded.) This Vit C product may sting your eyeballs (probably reflecting that it's unsafe for your cornea), so consider the separate eye formulation made especially for the eye area. Also, the NORMAL-TO-COMBINATION formulation is quite emollient; the formulation for DRY skin seems suited for VERY dry skin!

La Roche-Posay Vit. C Antiwrinkle Cream
Usually get this cream from my doctor, but found it cheaper on Amazon and ordered enough to have no shipping charges. Now I don't even have to go to my doctor's office to buy this. I use this great cream religiously, not only at bedtime but under makeup. Love the consistency and the fact that it's not greasy. I would recommend this to everyone.

Amazing product
I actually have oily skin over most of my face with the exception of the eye area and around the mouth. I use this everywhere. Gives me a wonderful glowy, even skintone and light-but-penetrating moisture without being thick, heavy or greasy, Makeup goes on beautifully over this. While I'm not really worried about wrinkles on the oily portions of my face, I also smooth this under my eyes to stave off fine lines - works great in both areas. I must say the glowy skintone is unmatched by any other product I've tried. Well worth the money.

Thank goodness for Effaclar!
I have sensitive, combination skin ... this has meant that even as I matured into adulthood, I'd still find myself struggling with complexion problems (you know, the occasional pimple all the way to full-blown breakouts). At 15, it's considered normal and a 'rite-of-passage', I suppose. But at 50, it's not so adorable AT ALL!! My dermatologist suggested trying Effaclar, and I have to say that I'm totally convinced this is the PERFECT cleanser! It's mild, but thorough -- it doesn't irritate my skin, doesn't dry it out, and the best news of all: I haven't had a single breakout since I started using the product. I'm a man in my 50's, and I don't mind saying that I couldn't be happier with this product and I highly recommend it to people of all ages (women *and* men). My only regret? That I didn't have this product when I was 15 ... <grin>

Can't live without it!
For years I struggled with zits--even into my mid-20's. My dermatologist prescribed me all sorts of things...but nothing ever seemed to do the trick. A few years ago I had my first facial, and the esthetician recommended this product. It was amazing how quickly my skin cleared up once I started using it. I have oily/shiny skin in the summer, and normal/dry skin in the winter. I can use this product year-round. It doesn't dry my skin, but it also helps manage my oily skin. I think this product would work for just about anyone. I love it!

Best Face Wash Ever
I have dealt with severe acne for years. My dermatologist suggested effaclar and it is above and beyond the best product I've ever purchased. It has made such a noticeable difference for me. I am thrilled it is now being sold on Amazon because before I was paying for it to be shipped from Europe. The gel is highly concentrated so one tube lasts me about 5 months. I usually never write reviews on Amazon but this is one I had to write.

Really helped my skin!
I have problem skin, with acne, and even pro active and max clarity doesn't completely clear it. I started using this product with my daily regiment s directed and i saw a noticable improvement! i still break out, but much less than i did, and the pimples go away much faster with this product.

Finally Something that Works :)
Purchased this and been using for a week already, this works great and my acne mild acne has slowly went away. I also use the facal gel cleaner by la roche so i will keep using both products. I put on at night and in the morning and works great for a base for my makeup. Non-stick and feels clean so i recommend this product to all that suffer from mild to bad acne. Love it, only down side was that i waited a good while (from Greece)(10+ business days) to recieve it but again i will make sure i know where its being shipped from next time. :)

Good for oily skin, but not the final solution
I have stubbornly oily skin. Most mattifying products that I've tried before don't work for more than 1 hour before the shine seeps through, however, this moisturizer helps keep the glare to a minimum for a longer period of time. I do love the feel of the moisturizer; it feels good on my skin. To actually mattify, the best combo I've found is this moisturizer under Cosmedicine Medi Matte. Over the course of a few hours, that combo doesn't prevent some oil from accumulating, but it prevents the shine which is what bothers me the most. When my skin starts to feel oily I just touch up with oil absorbing sheets and I'm good for another few hours.
