Improved grip over the older versions
This is my 4th different FPS Freek and it's the best one. I've mainly used the Vipr version but I think the differ names are for the differ colors. It has all the same nubs as my others ones I own. I've compared it and the grip material on these are the best. This is the most important feature to me. Maybe cause these are the newest model but who knows. Don't know why there are only 3 analog hooks now instead of 6 from the older models. One of my other 3 analog hook version came off a couple times cause of this. I think these have to be somewhat broken in/worked in for a bit.

Finally got it just right!
I will start off by saying that I own the original KontrolFreek FPS Freeks and I like them. When I heard about the release of the CQC I knew I had to jump on it right away. The main problem with the original FPS Freeks is that they were just a bit too long for games like Gears of War where you are consistently in close-quarters combat.The FPS Freek CQC adds a perfect level of grip and accuracy without getting in the way like the original FPS Freeks tend to do. I don't feel limited when trying to maneuver around tight areas as is often the case in Gears. As of now I play with the CQC on the right thumbstick and it works great. My thumbs don't slip of the thumbstick anymore and the CQC doesn't prevent my fingers from moving quickly from the thumbstick to the ABXY buttons.Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who plays the Gears of War series or anyone who finds the original FPS Freeks just a little too cumbersome. Great product for FPS fans
I received the Legendary Freeks a while back to review for a website when Halo Reach came out. It was a product that I immediately fell in love with. After a few matches to get used to the increased analog sensitivity, I felt they stepped up my game in both Halo and Gears of War.Once I got into CoD however, I felt like they were actually a bit too sensitive. Enter the CQC's. These are slightly shorter than the original Freeks, so I feel like they give just enough extension to the xbox analog sticks for a game that plays much faster.They won't instantly make you better, but I definitely notice a difference. If I try to play without them on my controller now it just feels odd and like I have less precision control when aiming.Solid product from a good company.

FPS Freek worth the money.
Initially when I saw these, I was skeptical that they would stay on the controller. They snap on very tightly and haven't fallen off in the 2 months they've been on. I got them for my birthday in July and they haven't been off my controller since, other than to see how much they change the way I play. They are awesome. Within one week of having them, my accuracy on COD4 went up .5%. I know that doesn't sound like much, but considering that it has never improved in the 30 days playing time I have amassed, I think speaks for itself. On their site, Kontrol Freek recommends taking them off to see just how much they change the gaming experience. I took them off for a total of 45 seconds while playing COD4 and discovered just how much they change the way you play. I couldn't hit a thing.I'm 35 and I consider these to be one of the best birthday presents I've ever received. I've changed my 360 profile to be a billboard for Kontrol Freek in my bio. Great investment towards kill ratio
These have exceeded all expectations for such a small, inexpensive item. I bought these specifically to gain an advantage in COD MW2. My accuracy has increased dramatically; fewer wasted bullets and faster kills. I actually sped up the control speed, because these enable me to move slowly and accurately. I'm able to consistently nail headshots on running targets using assault rifles from a distance. Awesome! Definitely worth it... I just don't want to tell too many people!

A MUST BUY for anyone who wants to improve thier FPS gaming!!
I hate to sound like a broken record reviewer, but like many others before me, I was REALLY skeptical when I discovered these here on Amazon. And like a smart buyer that I am I did my research before taking the plunge. I discovered that a majority of the reviews online were mostly all positive - the build is good quality and for the most part, it improved accuracy across the board for a majority of the buyers. FPS Freek really does help
I have never written a review on Amazon...ever, and I buy stuff from here all of the time, but this product impressed me so much that I wanted to share my experience with you and recommend you give it a try.....so here we go. I ordered a set of the Vipr Black FPS Freek for my PS3. They arrived today and I placed one on my right analog stick, the one you aim with ;). It was a little awkward feeling at first because I wasn't used to having my thumb so high up, however when I tried moving the stick around a little before actually jumping into any gameplay it felt so smooth and drastically different. It took about half of a game of Hardcore TDM on MW2 to get fully used to using it. I always play on insane sensitivity (10) because I like the ability to turn faster, the FPS Freek helps to control the slower turns while still giving you the ability to spin like a tornado if you want to. After a few hours with it my accuracy has already gone up from 18.03% to 19.33% which may not seem that...

I call them Thumb Extensions
First off I want to start off by saying my wife laughed at me when I told her that I was ordering thumb extensions. I know that's not what they are called but that is the easiest way to describe them. I got them in yesterday and I used them last night. They installed with no issues in under 30 seconds and are very secure on my controller. At first I thought that it was going to raise them to much, but as I started to play I realized they did nothing but improve my game play. I've only played Call of Duty: Black Ops with them and it improved everything from sniper use to the control of the M60. Great product. As a note. I have very small hands and I was worried about having to reach to far to use them and hand fatigue, but it's actually much more comfortable.

Gives an edge over non-users
Bad Company 2 is my game. I play it on xbox and I play it religiously. I though these were kind of funny at first and purchased it as more of a joke to show some friends, but now I love them.By extending the stick height with FPS Freek there are two major bonuses as far as I can tell;1. A larger field to move the stick over.2. Easier movement of the stick. (allowing you to be more precise)Though the pack comes with two I only use one on the right stick. I increased BC2's sensitivity slightly more than what it would be for the relative increase in stick height, meaning I had to grasp an increase in sensitivity. The slight difference in ease of stick movement makes it easy to grasp. It took an hour or two of game play and some fiddling with the sensitivity but in the end it was worth it.I am a long time BC vet (PC 1942 to present console) so I was already doing pretty good. FPS shooters
I don't always play video games, but when I do, its FPS Games. I am a medium skilled player and the purchase of this product has made a better medium skilled player. You can see a difference, but you must get used to them first. The first game is quite weird due to not being able to move the analog sticks in such manner that you have a tad more control. I do have been getting better accuracy with rifles/sniper rifles. I stuck with the short set as it gives perfect amount of control. I definitely do recommend for the medium skilled players out there seeking to better their game play.

Orignals are more usefull then the CQC
The cqc are nice but the original control freeks serve you much better when it comes to being more overall accurate. I love them and it feels weird without them. I would hate to go back. Buy the original first to see if you like them though. Their not Life Changers like stated above but their nice and allow you to play on a higher sensitivity( i used to play on 4 now i play on 8)with just as much accuracy. the more you play with them the better you get with them.CQC= CLOSE QUARTERS ONLTFPS FREEKS= OVERALL BETTER.I would have two controllers for the different types of Kontrol freeks because its a paon in the ass switching all the time

Not a Life Changer
Let me first start of by saying that I already consider myself an above average player at Call of Duty. I have a 3.8 K/D in Black Ops, and a 2.4 K/D in MW3. This surely isn't amazing but above average.I purchased the FPS Freek Recon because I didn't know which would be better for me: the CQC, or the Original.FPS FREEK-----------------------------So I actually received this from my friend a year ago, but I used them once, thought they were stupid, and gave them away. A couple months later, I realized that my analog sticks were very slippery, and I felt the need for grips.This takes getting used to. I approximately took 3 or 4 hours to finally get the hang of it.What the FPS Freek does is that it extends the analog stick, so that if you are playing on a 10 sensitivity, you will be able to move the stick more precisely. I was originally playing on a 6 sensitivity, but I have upped it to 8 with this purchase.IT DOES...
