KEM vs COPAG
I've been playing cards for many years and decided to switch from Bicycles and Bees to cellulose acetate plastic; ie: KEM and COPAG. I purchased one set each of KEM arrows and COPAGs; both are poker (regular) size. I received the cards a few weeks ago and have had some time to play with my poker group and gauge opinions. Interestingly, our group voted 50/50 KEM vs COPAG. What I can offer is specific differences between the cards which you may find helpful. I've also included the specs of a Bicycle deck for comparison. KEM .014" card thickness .700" deck thickness, w/o jokers 2.5"W x 3.5"L deck dimensions 8.75" surface area COPAG .012" card thickness .625" deck thickness, w/o jokers 2.483"W x 3.465"L deck dimensions 8.604" surface area BICYCLE .011" card thickness .580" deck thickness, w/o jokers 2.48"W x 3.475"L deck dimensions 8.618" surface area As you can see,...

Well Worth It
If you play only once or twice a week KEM cards quickly become well worth the money. Instead of buying a new deck every time you play or always worrying about everyone knowing what you have based on how a couple cards in the deck are bent it's best to just buy these now and never have to worry about buying another pack. These come in handy quick if you have friends who dont know how to shuffle properly and would destroy a normal deck after only a few turns, they cards dont bend, are of great quality and with two decks to a pack your 20 bucks will go a very long ways. Not necessarily superior to Copag's, but definitely GREAT cards
I've been playing cards for a while now (poker, cribbage, pinochle, etc.) and feel as though I've tried just about every style and quality of playing card out there. The fact that these are 100% cellulose acetate makes them unquestionably one of the best decks you can purchase. I'm glad I own them and got a great deal here on Amazon. I do question however the claim that KEM's are in some way superior to Copag's. The KEM's may be a slightly higher grade of plastic, but in the end it really comes down to the look and feel of the card. If I polled the "regulars" I play with I'm quite certain I'd find a 50/50 split as to what brand of card they prefer. Both brands will give you long life with plenty of play. I seriously don't think you can wrong with either.

Great deck of playing cards
I got these playing cards along with Copag playing cards a few years ago with the Poker craze. Both are very high quality and I'm not sure I have a preference of one over the other. They are very good since they are plastic, thus washable and hopefully last forever. The quality of the cards is very nice. The Bridge-size isn't really a concern, even though I've used them exclusively for Poker games. I like the ability to use them for Bridge though! Mine are actually the Regular index instead of Jumbo, but Jumbo index can't hurt for those that find it hard to see from a long table or if they are older. Come to think of it, Jumbo should be better! I would've liked a simpler design on the back to prevent people from marking the cards, but considering...

Slip Sliding Away
I have a couple of sets of Kem plastic playing cards. With just a modicum of care they should last a lifetime... really a first class product. But (always a but, right?) they are incredibly SLICK... if you are not careful a hand shuffle will result in the cards flying in all directions. While playing bridge with friends over the years I have had just about the same number of complaints as positive comments. They take a bit of familiarity

The Best (atleast it used to be....update)
So, it was finally time to get a new set of cards. I ordered them (from somewhere else) and received them quickly, however, both sets were defective. Then, the replacements came and one would not slide on the paint (face down) and the other would not glide on the back side. So, I bought a set of Copags. What a difference. They are much better, and I highly recommend them over Kems. The quality is better, and they just have a better over all feel.....I don't think that either are a bad choice, but it seems Kems quality control is severely lacking. And for the price one pays for these cards, that is inexcusable. So far, we have been using the Copags for several months with no issues, and everyone likes them....lastly, you can find the Copags for about 20% less! Ok, here is my experience. We have been using the same 2 decks in my club for over 18 months. We play once/week. We play a lot of hands, and we play for at least 5 hours each session. The cards are just starting to...

The king of cards
The ranks of poker enthusiasts seem to be fairly evenly divided among the KEM and Copag supporters. Either side has their die-hard loyalists who cling hard and fast to their preferred brand. Well, I like them both, although I do have a slight preference for the KEMs. In my review, I will only describe the absolute merits of the KEMs, rather than compare them head-to-head with any other brand of plastic cards, which I feel is splitting hairs. The KEM cards come out of the box smelling a little funny (ah, that new card smell), and slide like teflon over each other. The smell dissipates with a couple of uses, but the smoothness lasts. The cards are simply a pleasure to shuffle and deal, and nearly impossible to damage in the course of normal use. The edges and corners remain pristine. A spilled drink or stray salsa no longer spells death for your cards; a quick wipe renders them as good as new. Ditto for sweaty hands. The printing on the cards is crisp...

Impress your friends!!!!!!!
Great cards...really wows my friends! Easy to read with the big numbers, especially during my texas hold em games when lots of people are playing. Only downfall is they are a little slippery, and some of my older friends have problems picking them up off the table. Personally, I like them very much.

KEM CARDS
Well worth the price, from playing weekly poker games at my house and others we've gone through so many decks of cards I lost count, use to buy them by the cases. From people spilling, ripping, bending, sticky and not knowing how to shuffle the cards would just be trashed after a game. I got a deck of KEM from a buddy (smaller bridge size) and was hooked they can take a beating. Some people didn't like them, mainly cause I had the small size, but now I got the wide size Jumbo index it's perfect. Love them and I know I won't have top buy new decks for a long time. Just don't get to crazy. They get sticky or spilled on, wipe them down! Just like new! Well worth the price, these will be the last type of cards you'll ever want.

Kem vs Copag
I ordered both Kem and Copag and I prefer the Kem, they are slightly thicker and happen to slide better on my non felt poker table. It may be worth noting that the kem cards will break if bent where as the Copags seem to be indestructable, you can't rip/break the Copags even if you try. It doesnt matter to me much but my friend really liked the fact that Kem cards are Made in the USA where as Copag are from Brazil. Although these have a larger price tag up front they are worth every penny, especially compatred to paper cards because these will last long enough to justify the cost and then some

Kem vs. Copag comparison
These Kems are fantastic cards. They feel just right to the touch, not too slippery or sticky. If you're used to paper cards, they'll seem slick and might feel weird in your hand at first, but rest assured you'll soon wonder why you hadn't discovered plastic cards earlier. They shuffle and deal better and last many, many times longer, which is why most casino poker rooms use plastic cards (Kem is the most common, followed by Copag).Speaking of which, here's my personal take on the Kem vs. Copag debate. Since they're made of different materials, they feel different: Kems are silky smooth while Copags have a more dry plasticky texture. Both of them shuffle and deal equally well, though Copags are slightly thinner and more flimsy. Kems have very detailed graphics and are in general pretty traditional except that face cards have peach-colored faces (as opposed to white). Copags have blocky graphics and lettering, which some people hate but I don't really mind. But the real...

Great cards but overrated........
I definitely am not a card expert but sure am a card enthusiast. Bought a few cards recently from Amazon and would like to leave my feedback. I bought Fournier EPT plastic cards, Copag plastic cards, KEM Arrow plastic cards and Bicycle Prestige cards. Off all of them i like the Fournier's best. They have a substantial feel, very thick and you can feel the quality. Dont know why KEM's are considered the best but these, to me atleast, are better. The KEM's are very thin in comparison. Also the cards are slippery but not on your hands. They have a very rough texture so holding them is very comfortable but the cards glide over each other effortlessly. These are made in Spain. The KEM's i found are similar in thickness and texture to the Copag's. The Copag's have the best packaging, very neat. They are made in Brazil. The Bicycle Prestige cards are also made in Spain, most likely by Fournier. They are similar to the Fournier EPT in touch and feel but not as thick. I think since...
