Smells like skunk-doesn't taste bad!
I don't quite know what to rate? The product was fine, the packaging was fine and there was nothing wrong with the fruit so I gave it 5 out of 5 since I don't think the taste should count in this instance. I ordered mine from ebay for much cheaper (totalling $7). The package arrived today. I had tried to get a whiff of the infamouse sewer-like smell from other Durian products I've ordered online. I tried Durian fruit chips off of ebay (HeyHah brand totalling around $3) and gleefully tore open the bag in hopes of getting a knock-out decay smell only to not smell anything but fruit chips that didn't even taste that different from other fruit chips like banana. So I ordered this product in hopes that it would be different. It surely was, upon opening the bag I smelt a skunk scent that seemed to take over my eating space. Due to the smell I was being an avoidant procrastinator by putting it aside and focusing on something else until I built up enough of a hunger to try it. But then a...

almost as good....
I brought some of this back from Thailand with me, knowing that I would not be able to (very often) get fresh durian. I have to say that it's a good substitute if you get the craving.(And there's nothing quite like a durian craving). The texture is totally different (crunchy instead of soft and creamy) but a wonderful snack nonetheless.

For durian lovers...YUM
This is a tasty alternative if you don't have a fresh durian and love the fruit. It is crispy and sweet. I love the fresh fruit and can't always get a whole one. I would also reccomend this for first time durian experimenters. It has the taste without the extreme smell. Just remember lots of cheese that tastes yummy actually smells worse. Andrew Zimmern is not right, it does not have the texture/taste of rotten onions...Try it you just may fall in love like I did!

Danielle Sweet Mango Chips are Simply the Best!
My wife discovered the Danielle Sweet Mango Chips at a Cost Plus World Market. I hate to think of the fuel we burned going to every one of their markets in the Seattle area looking for more. The Mango chips are outstanding - intense flavor, good crunch - with the added bonus of being sugar,gluten and preservative free. Having owned a restaurant in Mexico which had a huge mango tree in the patio. I learned how great the naturally ripened fruit really tastes. Most of the mangos we find in markets here are still green and lack the mature, well-developed flavor of tree-ripened fruit. The Danielle Sweet Mango Chips capture the pure essence of ripe mango flavor! We'll be setting up a recurring order with Amazon so that we'll never have to be without our favorite snack. Delicious and crunchy!
Big, crunchy ribbons of coconut that look a little like paper gone through a shredder to give you an idea of the shape. While not very substantial, these are very tasty little morsels. They are very flavorful (coconutty, of course) and just slightly sweet. Fun to munch on, though I do wish there was more in a bag... a little pricy for single serve, and 2 oz couldn't make for more than that. Top to learn more

Danielle Banana chips & Mango chips
Danielle chips are just delicious. They are also all natural and have no chemicals, preservatives or additives...such a rare occurrence nowadays. My son has autism and is on a very special diet...gluten, casein and soy free...he LOVES the banana chips and mango chips and I feel good that he is eating something fun and healthy. Jackfruit is a fruit that you can buy fresh or canned. We started out trying to follow a recipe for jackfruit gyros.
The most important part of the section was when they mentioned that the best place to buy jack fruit is in the canned section of an Asian Grocer. What was this stringy meat replacer…it couldn’t really be a fruit could it. I looked high and low for jack fruit. Combine the soy sauce, barbeque sauce, sugar, corn starch and vegetable broth together. It was a mixture of soy sauce, peanut butter and homemade hoisin sauce. Add the jack fruit and cook for about ten minutes, stirring constantly. Place the jack fruit in the middle of the wok and pour the Mirin around the outside. To make the sandwiches: spread the jack fruit on a slice of toasted ciabatta bread. My dish of choice was a vegan burrito with some strange item called jack fruit as the meat substitute. Pour into the middle of the jack fruit. Anyway, the first thing I did on Saturday was go purchase some jack fruit. Spread the jack fruit mixture on a baking sheet. Like a grungier version of the Dead Milkmen , these guys have hilarious lyrics, packed with La La La’s and laughing and backed by distorted pogo country music. I added this and cooked for an additional ten minutes, until the sauce had thickened. There was a section on the elusive jack fruit. The second thing I did was put together an Asian Barbeque “Pork” Sandwich. No wonder I never found it. As if fate was laughing in my face Vegan Crunk did this post where she also mentioned that it was a weird Asian fruit.

If using fresh jackfruit, it’s a good idea to oil your knife and hands first before cutting, as the fruit is very sticky. Boiled Jackfruit seeds are a very tasty and nutritious snack. Boiled Jackfruit seeds can be used as an alternative to potatoes. In fact, canned jackfruit (in brine) is sometimes referred to as “vegetable meat”. Once a jackfruit is cracked open, what you will find inside are pods or “bulbs”. When unripe (green), it is remarkably similar in texture to chicken, making jackfruit an excellent vegetarian substitute for meat.
