I'm a believer!
I originally purchased these on a very cynical whim. My mom had tried the "bags" which failed miserably so when I ran across this set I really had very low hopes. Well, here are my results:So far I've had the same blueberries in one of these containers for THREE WEEKS. I purchased and washed them on July 19th, the day before a dinner party, put them in a Produce Saver bowl and put them in the refrigerator. Some were eaten at the party, many weren't. Today is August 10th and I guess I'm going to have to break down and make muffins with them or something because they're as fresh and plump today as they were 3 weeks ago.Grapes stay so fresh in the large container (I buy 2 big bags at a time now) that after a week even their stems are still green. The grapes themselves are crisp and cold.My strawberries lasted for a week the last time before they were finally all eaten. Not sure how long they would hold up as they are pretty popular. I just wash them, drain...

Great, but you gotta work with them.
I've had a set of these for years (all three sizes, with a second small one bought separately). Given how good the Amazon price is, I just bought another set.You've got to work with the boxes, and your fridge. If you've got a relatively damp fridge (more common with the side-by-side models, since there is often condensation on the freezer-side wall), make sure the produce is absolutely dry before storing it, or there will eventually be mold. If you have a relatively dry fridge, you might want to add a bit of water to the bottom of the box. What you're storing also matters - leafy greens have lots of surface area to lose water, carrots have a lot less, lemons have almost none (and an oily skin that prevents moisture loss - I actually refrigerate citrus without the lid, just with the grid to prevent mold). If I'm storing really delicate herbs like cilantro or dill, I'll put a damp paper towel over them in the box, or, if I'm feeling Martha Stuart-ish, stick the freshly cut...

Worth DOUBLE the money
Excellent scale, even for double the money. The tare feature works like most others, but the three real goodies are:... the FOUR MINUTE before auto-cutoff. Not like the Taylor scale I had that cut off after one minute of nonuse. It was always cutting off on me before I was finished with it.... and NO DEFAULT SCALE It's the same as when you last turned it off (if you were using grams, the next time you turn it on it's still in grams, OR ounces at OFF then it's ounces at ON). Tap the button to change g/oz on the fly.... AND it holds A FULL ELEVEN pounds (5kg). Accurate, Durable, Convenient, & Small
Love the scale. Tested accuracy, with perfect results, using nickels -- they weigh five grams apiece. Very sensitive so it can weigh small amounts of ingredients. Lent it to a friend to weigh his son's Pinewood Derby car. He dropped the scale down a flight of stairs but the scale lived on. And his son's car won the derby.One complaint: Anything more than just a small bowl or plate set on the scale will block the display making it difficult if not impossible to read. Would be nice if the display faced outward rather than just upward.

Great value, but 1 important accuracy quirk
I was looking for a reasonably priced scale and I don't believe you should have to spend $50 to get a decent scale. Based on some good reviews here I chose this one and am very happy with it. If it was lost or stolen I would buy another one without hesitation. I would have given this scale 5 stars rather than 4 if it weren't for a serious omission of a "feature" in the documentation that can cause large accuracy problems when dealing with the tare feature. It's not a problem with the scale as long as you are aware of it, it's a problem with the documentation. This problem could explain why some other reviews stated this scale is inaccurate.The problem is that when this scale is zeroed it goes into an auto-zero mode where small changes (1g or so) in weight cause the scale to continuously re-tare and stay at zero. I discovered this when I put a dish of almonds on the scale and hit tare. I removed almonds 1 at a time and the display always returned to zero. I had removed 15...

Great containers!
I love this set of storage dishes. They do not take up much room in my limited cabinet space, since they all fit inside each other, and I LOVE the fact the lids lock together, so no more lids all over the place. I saw on another review that she had problems with tomato sauce staining the bowls. The way to stop that from happening is to spray a little non stick cooking spray into the bowl before you add the tomato based product. Viola! No more stains! I highly recommend this set!

Good containers
These are really good containers. They are a lot nicer than the "Durables" line and are BPA-free (which is important to me because I have small children*). Mine get sent to preschool and are run through microwave and dishwasher almost daily and show very little sign of wear. The lid stacking is nice but unless your space is really limited I wouldn't call it a big selling point. The only bad thing I can say is that they can stain when you put tomato sauce in them (like most plastic food storage products).*For those who missed it - BPA plastics have been linked to a number of health problems (among other things BPA mimics estrogen in the body) and are facing bans in several countries and may be banned in the U.S. Pregnant women and children would probably be best off avoiding it. Food handling
We can and dehydrate most of our garden each year. We use these gloves when we prepare food for the dehydrator - you don't want oil from your skin on the food you dehydrate.The gloves are easy to put on and they stay on until you're ready to remove them. We didn't experience any slip-offs that are common in other types of gloves. Nor do they have that clammy uncomfortable feel. I like the added benefit of them going above the wrist. You just don't appreciate longer gloves until you inadvertently wear some short ones. There's nothing like something gooey dripping into your glove to remind you to buy longer ones.We will buy these gloves again. They are pretty versatile so I'll probably use them over my garden gloves this year when I'm working in moist soil.
