Great Espresso!
I purchased the Lavazza Gran Crema Espresso because to use in my espresso machine. It worked great - it makes a perfect espresso is delicious - especially for cappuccino and using pods are a lot cleaner than using ground coffee. Top to learn more
Lavazza Espresso Pods
These Pods are great. They provide excellent tasting espresso without the grinding process which saves a lot of time. The only downside is each pod only provides 1oz of espresso. So if you're going to make two double shots of espresso that's 4 pods you would have to change in and out which makes a lot work. Overall great for just yourself but if making more than a shot or two for yourself, you'd be better off going with beans or grounds. Top to learn more

Great Espresso Pod. I use it with my Breville 800. Good flavor, and its quick and easy to dispose. At first I was running into problems with the pod but followed anothers advice and now it works great. You need to wet the pod filter first, then put the pod in and tamp it down. Great Value - Too Loosely Packed
I bought these to use with a Handpresso portable espresso maker. The first few shots that I made came out a bit too quickly (as others have mentioned) and had a slightly wattery taste with very little crema.THIS ISSUE CAN BE RESOLVED!After the first few shots, I decided to add some additional tamping pressure to the pod by pressing down on it with a solid object (I found that a mason jar or coffee mug both worked great) with the hopes that this would increase brewing time and provide a more satisfying shot.It worked, and now my shots come out perfect, with good flavor and tons of crema. I have to give these pods four stars for the poor tamping, but fortunately this is something that can be resolved quite easily.

Our office recently (and possibly misguidedly) voted a Starbucks machine off the island and replaced it with a couple of Bunn airpot makers. They're great for commercial coffee but that is also the problem: it tastes like mediocre diner coffee even when good beans are used. So I've taken matters into my own hands and picked up an Espressione Cafe Novecento espresso maker and have put it in the kitchen "on loan" to the company.My first few attempts at pulling a decent shot with fresh ground coffee convinced me that I simply don't have the patience to learn the proper technique so, as the machine came with a pod portafilter, I decided to give that a shot (so to speak). Illy had the highest number of positive recomendations so I settled on them for my initial foray.Simply put, I am impressed. The flavor is excellent, the output takes in the ballpark of 20-30 seconds a shot and has very good crema on about three out of every four shots. It can be tricky to properly... Top to learn more

No mess!
I got an espresso maker a few months ago, I've tried generic espresso, Starbucks loose ground espresso roast, and these pods. These pods are definitely the best! Best taste and much easier to use. Aye, Carumba! I Love Espresso!
I've been an espresso freak since I first tried one after viewing The Godfather Part II (Don Fanucci downs it in one gulp while talking to the young Vito Coreleone). I used to go to Starbucks every morning, but I eventually decided to buy my own machine (Espressione Cafe Retro)and brew my own. I gravited to pods because they were so much easier and less messy than ground coffee. I buy the Sampler Packs from Podmerchant exclusively, but not because I am attempting through scientific research to find the "best" brand. There is no BEST brand. Sometimes I want something light and tangy, so I'll reach for an Attibassi Nicaragua. Maybe a rich, heavy blast after a big meal? Gotta be a Lucaffe Mr. Exclusive. Early afternoon is the perfect time for a Cafe Mako Napoletano. I like the variety, I like the colorful packaging, I like to be surprised and not know what's coming next! If you are new to ESE Pods, this is a great way to find the brands of pods you like best. Get this package and keep careful tasting notes - and remember, your machine will also work better with some pods than others. The idea is to experiment as much as you can for as little cost as possble and this sampler makes it easy.On my Francis! Francis! Expired Pods
I had read the previous reviews and one had mentioned that his pods were expired- so when I went to buy them I checked and didn't see where it said that. I bought the 4 pack and they were all expired- when I went back to look at the listing I found it, but it wasn't easy to find. I still used them even though they were expired because it would have been too much of a pain to return them, but it would have been nice if it said 'expired but still usable' or something like that on the front end.
