Poems you will want to read twice...
I really enjoyed reading and thought I'd take a chance on reading more poems by the same author. I had to laugh because the first poem is called "Slam" and the person who lives below me has been slamming her door so often I finally complained. Maybe she is just really angry but this poem gave me a new perspective. The poems in this book are really about shutting the door on your past and traveling into the future. I was struck by the beauty of these poems. They are a dance of playful and profound. There are captivating images of an apple tree, the red of a rose petal, the pale blue skies and neon lights. "Moving On" is a mysterious poem that has a stream-of-consciousness style that is very appealing. These are poems that are best appreciated if you read them twice. This is quite a short book of poems but the poems are very...

Relaxing poetry
I do not like poetry and I did not know this was a book of poems but it was very relaxing to read. Vickie Johnstone seems to have a knack for calming down her readers with words that can touch the heart and soul. If you wish to rediscover and enjoy LIGHT and calming poetry, read this book. So zen, almost magical and is a testament to how words can calm and touch the heart.

The Dawning of Power - another great fantasy!
Legend says that a Herald will be born who will save the land of Godfist from invaders. This Herald will fight for their freedom. To some it is only a legend but to others it is a prophecy, waiting to be fulfilled. The Zjhon are ancient enemies and are planning an attack but no one takes heed of these warnings until it is too late. Now it is up to the Herald to save them. The question is... will the Herald realize her destiny in time to save Godfist? But that's not all...the Zjhon believe in the prophecy and have given the order to search for the Herald and do away with her. This is an intriguing fantasy and is hard to put down. The description of scenery is so well written that I could imagine it in my mind. The characters are believable and well developed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Dawning of Power is a trilogy, which includes Call of the Herald, Inherited Danger, and Dragon Ore. I would recommend this book for all ages.Written by Linda Weaver...

Good read
I found this book hard to get into at first. The writing just seemed amateurish at best and it seemed like it was taking a long time to get into the meat of the story. But, I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. When the story started to the unfold, it seemed like the quality of writing also picked up. It's not perfect by any means. The writing isn't entirely consistent in quality and the story sometimes needs to be reined in, but overall it's an interesting read. I'm looking forward to reading the next two installments.

A great read!
This was my first paid Kindle read and I read it almost non stop on my iphone! This was a great read, well paced, interesting characters and plot line. For new author this bodes well, as he is at least as good as any Robert Ludlum or "established' thriller author. This is not just another political thriller, it offers new twists and is a surprising read. Even though I don't necessarily agree with the main protagonists decisions, I was enthralled. I only stopped reading it at 3 am when I knew had to go get some shut-eye before work! Whether the end justifies the means can be, and has been debated for centuries; this book offers a real world, in-your-face situation where in the good guys have to play fast and lose with this issue, to achieve their ends. Somehow Ponzo manages to portray the inner workings of the FBI and other agencies as if he is an insider, or at least very credible. The set pieces are exciting and I can just see this on the big screen making a great movie. It is...

Great Action & Adventure Story
"A Touch of Deceit" by Gary Ponzo is a great action & adventure story that will keep you turning the pages so you can find out what happens next. Nick Bracco of the FBI is part of the agency's counter terrorism team. In that role he is trying to prevent Kurd militants from destroying the White House and the security of America in general.Nick recruits his cousin, Tommy Bracco who is in the mob to help with the case and soon the mob is very actively involved for a multitude of reasons. This book is hot from the first chapter on. There is no time to stop and breathe.I can highly recommend this book, am eager for the hard copy version so I can give it to friends who do not have Kindle (and who do not want to download the software on their PCs) and hope that there is a sequel soon. I want to see what happens next. This story was too good to end...there has to be more."A Touch of Deceit" is worth the read. The characters are realistic, the dialogue is...

a touch of deceit
Mr. Ponzo has created a wonderful story. A touch of deceit is quite a thriller with many twists and turns and a great ending. The best part is the weaving of the "Mafia" culture into the FBI as they try to solve the terrorist plot. This easily could become a series and I hope Mr. Ponzo will keep writting. Nick is a compelling character.Kindle publishing has allowed promising authors access. This is a prime example of a book which is a cut above the other "mega" stuff out there seeing the light of day.

How Hope began!
This is a great prequel to the rest of the series, which I enjoyed just as much as this. I can't get enough of the dashing and daring Ben Hope for some reason. The action is intense and the plot thickens as Hope uncovers a shadowy conspiracy after the death of his friend. Up close and personal! Can't wait for the next one!

There's Hope for the prequel yet!
Ben Hope is back in this action-packed novella by Scott Mariani. When an old comrade dies in a mysterious plane crash Hope starts to investigate in his typical work hard/play hard style. The tension and pace mount as Mariani leads you along another gritty adventure as information supplied by his friend's daughter leads to a cover-up and conspiracy involving international terrorism. This prequel fills in gaps in Hope's background that addicted readers like me will love as we get to know him better. I was a bit dubious, prequels having been a bit over-used of late, but I'm pleased to say that my reservations were unfounded - this is another great thriller in its own right and a great way to introduce new readers to the character. The writing is as snappy and fast-paced as the predecessors - read it this morning and now can't wait for the next in the series. Hurry up Scott! Eh-hem, I mean, Mr. Mariani!

Great read from debut author
We've all been lured by the description of the idyllic small town, where everyone you meet is friendly and helpful. Where you can walk a few blocks to the Post Office for a chat while you mail a package, or drop into the local diner for a quick lunch with friends. Where everyone you meet on the street gives you a warm greeting. But how would you react if you found out your next door neighbor, that great guy you knew growing up, might be a serial killer? Or the mailman you've chatted with over the years and even given your fresh-baked cookies, suddenly acts far more menacing? This is the small town Ms. Gragg writes about with such authenticity. Best friends might not be your friend at all, the babysitter down the block might turn out to be your worst nightmare. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be looking for more from this author.

A thrilling and entertaining book
I found The Rose Killer to be not only suspenseful but also some of the best writing I've encountered in years. The character development is superb as is the attention to detail as it sets each scene with maticulous care. If you like mystery stories spiced with humor and a little human sensuality thrown in here and there to keep the reader on their toes you will love The Rose Killer.

Waiting on God
WAITING ON GOD is the very BEST read! It was so timely for me and I loved every page and wanted more when I got to the end.I found myself asking all of the questions posed by Cherie Hill: God, "Why are you allowing this?" "What is the purpose in this?" "Are you there?" "Do you care?" Each word of "WAITING ON GOD" seemed to speak to me in a very personal way. I sensed my faith being built as I read and was encouraged to wait patiently. I'm so thankful that God waits for me patiently!I so agree with her that the waiting place is the hardest place to be. May I be found genuine and my faith increased. God's silence puts our faith to the test and proves our faith time and time again, although it's hard to see it in the midst of waiting. Even in the dark, Cherie showed me that I can cling to His Promises and embrace the dark what He has shown me in His Light! My faith certainly grew through the lessons that Cherie shared.I'm also enjoying both of Cherie...

Will read until you finish or are exhausted.
This book is awesome. Cherie Hill explains so clear what the Bible has been telling us always. It's all about letting our faith grow. We live in such a fast world, that often we try to make God to be as fast as the world around us. But as Cherie very well expose in this book, is about learning to wait in that waiting room knowing that God will come in that room and call you and while you are there waiting, you have to learn what is his purpose for the wait. God has promised that He shall not delay. I guarantee you will not be able to put the book down until is finished. You will enjoy every word of every sentence of every paragraph of this book. You will absolutely read until either you had finished the book or exhaustion get you.

encouraging and motivating
I downloaded this book few days ago when I was down and asking for God's direction..the title "waiting on God" struck me so I "one-clicked"..the book just spoke directly to me as I learn to "Be still" and wait on God. I always equate "being still" with "doing nothing" -but now I totally understand what it means to "Be still"..I don't usually give reviews, but I just can't help but write a review for this because this book is truly encouraging and motivating--especially when we are becoming impatient waiting on God..God's timing is always perfect! The writing style is easy to follow-- English is not my first language but the author wrote it in a way that is easy to read even for non-English speaking readers.. The book also is very light to read because of the many real-life scenarios and some "short-stories" contained in the book..Cherrie Hill is now one of my favorite Christian book authors.

http://www.amazon.com/Hope-Being-Gone-ebook

You pray, but God doesn’t seem to be listening. You trust Him, but it appears He’s letting you down. You believe His Word, but His promises are coming up seemingly empty in your life. You seek, but do not find…you knock, but no one answers. If God is doing anything at all in your life…you can’t see it. The fight of faith intensifies, as it appears that not only is God running late…He may not even show up at all. By the looks of things, God’s either too busy in the lives of others or He just simply doesn’t care.

All of our Christian life, we’re prepared to hear God speak to us, but nothing prepares us for His silence. It’s in these times of desperation, when we’re filled with doubt in the midst of our faith, when waiting on God appears to be in vain, that our faith is tested, grown, and strengthened, as we learn to trust in Him even when there appears to be now reason that we should.
While we wait on God, it’s His Promises that we’ll cling to, and ultimately put our faith in, when our lives are hanging by a thread. We’ll find that God knows what He’s doing. He’s in control…even when life isn’t. You’ll find that even when your world seems to be falling apart…it’s really just falling into place in the hands of your Almighty loving God.

Where Can I buy Ebooks

For myself, leaving high school in a time of abundance, with many of the battles of equality fought by the women a generation or two above me, I’ve never really had to worry about my place in the world.

And that would need to be either through her publisher, through SPUNC, and shortly through the ASA (I gather). Since Winterbourne are an e-publisher they may need to have a relationship with one of the ebook platforms servicing bookshops – if they don’t already. I note her publisher appear also do on-demand printing and say you can place an order through any bookstore. It’s also often better placed through a distributor that is willing to deal directly with authors if that is not done by her publisher.

And if youve been buying ebooks from Amazon up to now, youre not likely to immediately switch to buying from B&N just because they both offer books without DRM. I doubt it. Those Kindle owners are used to a seamless buying experience from Amazon, so unless theres a compelling reason to do so, theyre not likely to switch ebook retailers. DRM is a club publishers gave to Amazon and then insisted that Amazon beat them over their heads with it. So what if we woke up tomorrow and DRM for books disappeared, just like it has (for the most part) with music. Creating the best buying and reading experience is one way any ebook retailer can steal market share from the competition. com youre buying access to all the popular formats (mobi, EPUB and PDF, as well as others), not just the one format a device-maker wants to lock you into. But just because the tool is available does that mean if DRM goes away wed suddenly see a lot of Kindle owners buying EPUBs from B&N and converting them to mobi with Calibre. On the surface Amazons and B&Ns ebooks use incompatible formats, mobi for the former and EPUB for the latter. I believe todays crop of ebook readers and apps are, in many ways, as clumsy and simplistic as those MP3 players and flip phones. Im not convinced any ebook retailer has pushed the envelope on innovation and exciting new features in their devices or reader apps. Ive played around with it a bit, converting some of the DRM-free ebooks we sell on oreilly. If current U. S. estimates are accurate, Amazon controls about 60-65% of the ebook market and B&N is second with about 25-28%.
