I read this book in two sittings. the descriptions of characters and places were so vivid i was totally sucked in from the beginning . The story moved swiftly from Poland to Antigua and from Malmo to Dublin keeping me on my toes throughout . What a gem of a book!! Its dark and grizzly tone is set from the off. We enter Jacob's life where he is prepared to do anything to track down his brother and avenge the murder of his wife and daughter. The twists and turns had me completely unnerved throughout and I found myself holding my breath towards the end. A thoroughly great read and a book that will stay in your head long after you've read the last page.

Delirium Tremens left me quite breathless. I was expecting a fairly run of the mill adventure/revenge yarn, and although that's how it seems to start out it twists and bucks under you like a wild bull on speed! Just hold on as it will be a fun ride. After the murder of his family Jake finds refuge in a bar full of life's losers in some forgotten town in Antigua. Compelled to carry out some `jobs' for a shadowy character called Uri, he comes to realise the full horror of what has happened. Even if you grew up on Hitchcock films full of twists, this one will still pull the rug out from under you at the end!
