Look nice, DO NOT SMELL, block out light nicely
I purchased these for EVERY window in my house, and we love them. We have had to return two panels becuase the light came through spotty but they were defective panels I think as I have about 20 panels in my home and not one of them smell and they are all great at blocking light. I wouldn't say they are 99% light blocking but maybe 95% it really depends on the color of fabric you get. The darker the fabric the better they do at blocking. We have 4 panels that are tan and they are about 95% light blocking, the blue ones are about 97% and the black ones are true to the 99%. We purchased the extra liner for our son's room to make the tan curtains a true 100% room darkening as he doesn't sleep well if he sence's any light (he's 2).We followed the directions when we opened the package and put them in the dryer for about 10-15 min's when we took them out to get rid of wrinkles maybe that's why they have no oder as well..maybe the dryer does something I don't know but we...

How did I ever do without these curtains...?
I'll be honest. I was a little skeptical when reading over the product details, but I took a gamble in purchasing these. I figured that the design was nice and simple, and in a worse case scenario, the color it would be dark enough to block out most of the light (I live in a highly urban area so even with blinds, all sorts of artificial light can still peek through the windows).I was very impressed when I opened the packaging to inspect them. You can't really tell so much in the pics, but the curtains' design -at least the chocolate ones I brought- had traces of gray and lighter browns, which worked with my bedroom color scheme. I trimmed them to the proper length, hung them and turned off the lights to go to bed. The room was practically rendered pitch black and for the first time in quite a long time, I got a good night's sleep. Then come the morning and even during midday, the room was still rather dark. Granted, I can't be positive that the lighter colors (Linen) work...

great for room darkening
I actually bought these panels to put at the end of my large windows to block the little crack between my room darkening blinds and the window case. I spent a lot of time trying to find something attractive, thin and that would hang on the pole. They worked great. I hung them behind other curtains we had and they hung easily onto the pole in between the other hanging curtains. They aren't particularly heavy but they do keep the light out. The color is very dark but put behind the light white curtains they look quite nice.

Best clear shower liner I have bought!
I never thought I would be writing a review about a shower liner but this one deserves much credit. I had a flimsy shower liner I picked up from the bulls eye major store for over $10. That shower liner was so thin that when you turned on the water it flew into you and you could not get it to stay away (the thin liner). It (old shower liner) had the suction cups even but if it is too light it does not matter, it is going to blow all around. I was on the search for a clear one that would actually stay in place. I ordered the clear one a few months back and immediately upon receiving it noticed the weight of the liner. It is heavy but not too heavy. Heavy enough to stay in place! I noticed it did not have the suction cups at the bottom and usually prefer those. However in this case the liner is heavy enough the suction cups are not needed. The liner stays in place the whole time! After buying it at regular price I noticed it was a lightening deal special a few weeks later and picked... Top to learn more
Seems too good to be true, but it delivers!
We have a bathroom with a small window, facing North, that is constantly being used for a shower or bath (2 adults and 2 young kids), so we are always fighting mold and mildew issues, not only around the tub and shower caulking, but up until now, also the shower curtain liners. We have usually either bought ones that you can clean (end up getting torn up after washing), or guiltily buying ones that are throw-away.I decided to try this one out, not expecting much, but after 6 months of continuous use, not ONE indication of mildew! Amazing! Finally a product that delivers on it's promise. This is one of those things you expect to see touted on late night infomercials by a sleazy, loud huckster, but this thing actually does what it promises.Highly HIGHLY recommended.UPDATE after a year and half of use...STILL going strong and only a few tiny spots of mildew, which is easily wiped off. This hook, as described, is a plastic hook that looks sortof like metal. It sticks to the wall quite nicely and is currently holding a towel in my bathroom. It shows no signs of not holding the towel, and rarely complains about having to hold the towel. Top to learn more
Dorm Room Alternative
We used these in my daughter's dorm room to hold up a cafe rod for curtains well below the 5 pound weight limit recommendation. We followed the instructions carefully including cleaning the surface with alcohol. For good measure after the alcohol cleansing we dried the drywall surface with a hair drier. As recommended for heavier items we removed the hook from the underlying plastic bracket and applied pressure to the newly mounted bracket for over 30 seconds. They failed after a day in the Pennsylvania humidity and heat from non funtioning dormitory central air conditioning. We did it again with the jumbo non metallic finish white hook and didn't mount the cafe rods for 5 days. They stayed up 2 days before they came down. Hard to be sure why the item failed in this application but I'm guessing the still failing dorm AC and humidity are important factors. Love these 3M hooks
For some years now I've used the heck out of these 3M Command hooks. Mostly the plastic ones, but I've also used a handful of these handsome metal ones. In my previous apartment I mounted these above the windows to hang curtains, laying a similarly finished metal rod across the hooks. It looked nice, worked great, I recall my sister being surprised the hooks were not permanently installed as a feature in the apt. I don't know what the half-life on the adhesive tape is supposed to be, but my curtains hung brilliantly for a solid FOUR YEARS, til I finally moved out -- and removed the hooks cleanly and easily without a mark, of course.I've now relocated, with a bagful of my hooks ready to re-use.
