Great stuff....just not for softening...or static or...well....
This is a wonderful product. It makes your entire house smell amazing while doing laundry and as someone with major allergies both nasal and skin rashes, it doesn't upset me before, during, or after (which is a minor miracle). And the smell? Lasts for days. Weeks even! Really. You can take guest linens out of the linen closet weeks later and ahhhh! Even my hard to please guests complemented the scent (in a back-handed way of course-lol!). But you'll need a softener/static reducer. It is better than nothing, but not by much. We use method softener, purex 3-in-1, and this. Great combo and the scent makes the unpleasant task of cleaning and laundry spaaaaaaaaaaaah-like. And to be able to add such a nice scent with my ridiculous allergies is sweet! (The price here is insane however, if you can find it locally, you'll pay much less and there's often coupons online and on fb floating around.)

Major Static Cling..
Like others here, I agree, it smells amazing.. but it does not reduce static cling at all or make clothing soft. I emailed the company and they informed me it is not designed to do either. There are no matching dryer sheets and if there were, why would I buy both? I would probably keep a small bottle around for the few things I wash, but do not dry. Sigh.. another "almost" wonderful product..

Pleasantly surprised
I've not been one to use fabric softeners for the simple fact that adding them at the precisely proper moment is just a huge pain in the nethers. I did try the Downy "ball" liquid release thing and wasn't overly thrilled with that. It seemed like too weird of a kludge.But when i saw these crystals on offer, I figured I'd give it a try and I'm quite pleased. The scent is both pleasant and not overwhelming. But the convenience of just adding them at the start of the cycle is just off the charts. And my clothes are detectably softer. It's not much but it's there. I don't guess that any fabric softener would make them any more soft but I'll leave that to someone who's had more experience with other forms of the stuff.I'll buy this again for sure.
