Grow your own collection of feared and famous meat eating plants. This kit features the infamous Venus Fly Trap. Watch these fascinating plants grow from harmless seeds into vicious bug-eating monsters. The leaves of a Venus Fly Trap are covered with fine hairs. When an insect lands on the plant, the pressure on these hairs causes the jaw-like foliage to snap closed, trapping the insect inside. Make your own authentic bog with the included peat plating mix, blue swamp rocks and companionable Bog Buddy. With proper care, this rare and unusual collection of carnivorous plants will flourish for years in the specially designed terrarium. Includes growing greenhouse, Venus Fly Trap seed, Blue Swamp Rocks, Bog Buddy, Planting mixture, instruction and information sheet. Top to learn more

I'm currently in the process of some experiments to see how my different flytraps will accept the different environment conditions. I'm currently keeping one of my plants into a home made dome (5 litre water bottle cut in half).
I don't feed my plants, it isn't required but generally as long as an insect hasn't been subjected to pesticides you shouldn't have a problem with feeding it to your venus fly trap. You may find a trap turns black after feeding particular bugs, this isn't anything to worry about. If feeding dead insects you should massage the trap you fed gently on and off over a couple of minutes to stimulate digestion.
some of traps are red inside and teeth are redish but most of traps gree with green teeth. Most of the leaves and traps are alittle twisted from being all over each other, now they getting more spread. 2 big ones on the right (first pic) is from 1 pot, they are about 4 inches tallest, after I replanted it, one of them ate a mosquito, LOL, so I guess it was not that much stress. One big question is still when do i feed them, if you can help. Small guys (second pic) were in same pot, about 2 inches across. The all have at least one functioning - whitish root, other roots are rotten. I just checked - another big one is closed, so it must have snapped someone too.

Criscoe was first to the scene at the Green Swamp Preserve in Brunswick, NC He said he caught the individuals holding more than 200 Venus' flytrap pods. "When we talked to them, they were getting 10 cents per seed from private nurseries," Criscoe said.
AP RALEIGH, NC - The Venus flytrap's precarious survival in the wild along the coast of the Carolinas faces an added threat from poachers looking to cash in by uprooting and selling them. Three people were arrested this week and charged with uprooting

Players take the role of a bird as they avoid hurdles like trees, geysers and Venus fly trap, while they also chomp their way through the many bees in their path. It's easy to get the hang of with regular taps to the screen keeping the bird buoyant.
